I just want an age old question to be answered. We're all familiar with this fat bastard.

That's right, the nefarious, oddly shaped villain from the Sonic the Hedgehog games. In Europe and America, he was introduced to us as "Dr. Robotnik," but Japanese gamers knew him by another name, "Dr. Eggman."

My question is, which name do you prefer? Eggman or Robotnik?

Eggman just sounds like a lyric out of a beatles song about walruses. Coo Coo Cachew! Robotnik sounds like someone who should be doing stuff with robots.

but when SEGA re-tooled him for the third dimension, he gained a new name, "Dr. Eggman."
Actually, that was always his name (cause he's egg shaped, see). Sega USA changed it when they translated the manual for the original Sonic The Hedgehog, as well as making up a load of other nonsense about alternate worlds called Mobius not present in the original.

Ah, you see... that statement is true, they are "rather rounded" however an egg is not round.

Dr. Eggman, after all he is round and egg-ish
...?

Since when are eggs round? :D
Since when are they Not round?
Since they were Oval.

EDIT: Or if we are being fancy and Oblate Spheroid. :D
Technically you are wrong eggs are round - round is not a shape it simply means it has no corners. They are not oval and they are not circle(which I think you confused with round) they are most definately round.

Here you go, the definition of round:

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/round

And, the shape of an egg is...:

A nice healthy dose of "I have been awake for a day, I am right... and I dont want to have the exact same argument AGAIN!"
