His old stuff was alright, his new stuff not so much...
Not anywhere near the brilliance of dan le sac vs scroobius pip.

Cool, I only hear that by word of mouth. I hate rap so I don't even listen to it. May you elaborate?clipse15 said:Wow you couldn't be more wrongGoremocker said:Oddly enough, he seems to be the only rapper left with real meaning behind his songs. So yeah, he's great.
Ya sorry I threw an edit in but you missed it. What I was trying to say is that Eminem's strong points are the way he puts his words together but generally his music isn't really meaningful beyond the whole "I'm angry at the establishment" and even that theme is very thin.Goremocker said:Cool, I only hear that by word of mouth. Hmm, thanks for the input. I'll be sure to check in on those guys, and when I do I guess I'll have a new argument against people when the subject comes up.clipse15 said:Ya sorry I threw an edit in but you missed it. They're are many rappers and groups that have a lot of meaning behind they're songs. I can understand not liking rap but to say the genre lacks meaning is kind of offensive to people who really like the genre. But ya MF DOOM, OutKast, Wu-Tang Clan are rappers that have plenty of meaning behind they're lyrics.
What, murdering his wife? I guess it makes for a change of pace...Skullkid4187 said:He is the only rapper that raps about something other then bootie and hoes.
Lol murdering his wife on which song? theres only about a dozen of themChromeAlchemist said:What, murdering his wife? I guess it makes for a change of pace...Skullkid4187 said:He is the only rapper that raps about something other then bootie and hoes.
[HEADING=1]EXACTLY!![/HEADING]clipse15 said:Really? because he actually does quite a lot. In fact I really don't understand why so many people give Eminem a pass and then in the same breath say they don't like the content of other rappers when Eminem has been one of the most offensive rappers i've listened to. With that said I am an avid Eminem fan but then again I like a lot of Hip hop.AjimboB said:I don't like much rap, but I enjoy Eminem. It seems like he's one of the few rappers who doesn't just sing about how he and his homies are total pimps.
Look up Lupe Fiasco.Skullkid4187 said:He is the only rapper that raps about something other then bootie and hoes.

It actually pisses me off and grinds my shit to a fine powder. All these people who try and say he's the only artist with a positive thing to say...it's like they don't even listen to his music. Anyone who tries to say Eminem is the only good rapper left in hip-hop with something to say offends me.
My friend used to say (hell, Eminem says) if Eminem was black he'd sell half as much and be half as popular.
I disagreed, but...
Really Eminem doesn't rap about hoes?VulakAerr said:Yeah, I like him. As a lot of people have said, it's the only rap I can listen to. I don't mind that he only writes about stuff relating to himself... you write about what you know and what's important to you. I'm just glad it's not "hoes and big-screen TVs".
Exactly. How many times can you get away with doing the exact same thing on track? Which apparently quite a lot of sympathisers haven't heard, which is odd.clipse15 said:Lol murdering his wife on which song? theres only about a dozen of themChromeAlchemist said:What, murdering his wife?
