I enjoyed, but unfortunately I don't have the best computer so it ran pretty slow for me so I don't think I'll buy it.

Aight after playing some battles, I'll make a quick review of the things!

The tutorials both explain the basics very well and in a easy way. If you leave any of the tutorials not knowing the basics of the game you are a complete retard!(ANGER!)

Anyway after the turorials I picked the battle of Brandywine Creek(The land battle). The game pitted me the glorious British Empire agaisnt the peasent Americanas! I was expecting a little historic recap of the battle like Rome but didnt happen. :( As the game begins the camera glides over the map so you can see what are you facing, it also shows you a path so you can flank the Americans from the left.

Okay with my little knowledge of 18th century tactics I decided to use most of my cavalary to flank the Americans while using my Infantry to cross the main choke hold, supported with my Cannons. When the main sides meet each other on main choke point exchanging gunshots and cannonballs, I was waiting for my cavalary to flank from behind the damn Yanks and end the business before it got messy. What could go wrong I though...I found that wrong comes with a small Infantry ambush in the woods supported with Cannon batterie!

Dang! Empire:TW AI is much superior to the other TW games and will respond diferently to type of chalange you provide. In my case they sent a small army to stop my Cavalry.

But besides the heavy casualties of my Cavalary units I prevailed and finished up what I was set to. In the end I won with a close Victory, and a feeling of a proper war!

Land battle done, lets move on into sinking boats!

Again I get to play with the British Empire but this time versus the French. The battlefield was set I had a couple of ships, and the French had less, but soon would be reinforced by another wave of ships. So I decided to divide my forces into 3: A small group to distract the first wave of French Ships a second to go around and cut off the reinforcements and my Admiral Ship to flank the reinforcements. Well..I failed miserably...I'm still to win that battle.

Anyway enough with battle reports and into the demo itself. The AI has got a MAJOR revamp, its much smarter then the previous TW games and can impose a serious chalenge. The visuals are very good, in medium settings the units my look abit dodgy, but on very high the game is quite breathtaking! The units/animations themself feel real and less "arcade" even if sometimes some of the ragdolls effects are abit extreme.

The Naval battles are very demanding of micromanagement(speed of ships, type of Cannonball, reload the cannons etc etc), the downside is that they may get quite chaotic if you trying to control 3 or more ships at the same time, soner or later in the battle the ships all get in a middle for a big mish-mesh of ships and the battle becomes a pain of controling. Guess with practice the player can avoid these situations.

For the land battles, as I said the AI is better then the older TW games, and you can notice it very well, also there will be more tactic involved and less mindless charging like in Rome, the land battles will take more time and thinking ...and thats it for the land warfare, that and the flag bearers and drum players keep moving even when you halted the unti.

The camera feels a bit sluggish both on land/naval battles didnt see any option to increase its speed. Hope it gets fixed on the final version.

The UI is very user friendly wich some changes, even veteran TW players will take some time looking at it and exploring the new features. But there is one problem! When you select a unit its very hard to spot it on the UI, the unit card backround becomes all white, the silly part is that the backround of the unit cards displayer is white too...And sometimes a second glance to check what untis you have selected can spell doom for your little troops.

Besides all there seems to be some performance issues with the demo(crashes, long loadings, freezes and other stuff) nothing of those happened to me, apart from a very long loading from the logo's screen to the main menu...hopefully this bad performance issues are rge demo's fault and not the game itself. That and backround music for the main menu. :p

Overall its a great experience even if short, I just wished we had a chance to taste the campaign map and some new features, but we cant have everything. :(

Guess it wasnt quick at all...
