It's old news, I know, but those who have been snooping around the news articles in the last two months have probably seen the article about a new game called Epic Mickey.

I just want to know: what are your thoughts about it? Is it a drastic move used by Disney to get more publicity? Or, is it a new, fresh idea that you hope will really succeed?

After reading the cover story from Game Informer, it sounds like a really interesting idea.

I'm Irish, and in Ireland and sometimes England, Mickey is slang for penis. So 'Epic Mickey'. You get the idea.

Huh. I did not know that.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the game...but maybe they should change the name a bit, since that doesn't sound like a good game title. To what... I really don't know.

The concept art that was released looked really cool, but then the screenshots I saw were very "meh". So I'm tentatively holding out hope, but am worried it's going to turn out to be trash.

Kingdom Hearts is an incredibly stupid concept (let's put Mickey Mouse in Final Fantasy!), but in spite of that, the series is a good one. The games are fun and engaging. I'm hoping Epic Disney can repeat that success.
