Holy crap! Ninth? That's some bad luck right there, considering the low failure rate of PS3s on average. I'm on my second PS3 and had one blu-ray lense fix but i don't really mind. These downtimes make me appreciate it more when i get it back. I'm glad this is a worldwide problem though. They have to fix it. What else are they going to do? Re-call half the PS3s in the world?Smorlock said:Well it's a good thing my old 60gb is in repairs right now. But then again, I've had my share of bad luck... this is the NINTH time my PS3 has broken. Anyone else had THAT problem?
It's an issue that has to do primarily with online functionality and trophies. That means that you can play most offline games even if it isn't fixed. Most likely this will just result in game manufacturers not making games that require dynamic trophies in the future, which to me sounds like a good thing. I wouldn't even care about this if I could play Heavy Rain.CANT_B_STOPPED said:I dont wanna be the guy who tries scare every 1 im jus bein realistic and looking at different angles of the situation. If it gets fixed everything is all gud hopefully, but if the system doesnt fix itself when it reaches twelve oclockgmt again then that means console's that arnt online cant download an update to patch it, this wud mean recalls all over the world and all the game manufacturers would sue sony if all the consoles wasnt fixed intime for the new game releases and this would hit sony hard. hope it dusnt happen but u never know
