There are several people with whom I have made some bonds of friendship. I hold several members of the community in very high esteem and their opinions matter to me. I feel that I have established myself as an active member of the Escapist's artist community and I am happy to say that I have met that community with good spirits. I hold a healthy amount of respect for them.

On the other, less friendly hand, a good deal of this community annoys me to no end. There are many people whom I have felt are unreasonable and seem to want to shove inane messages or opinions I disagree with in my face or down my throat. Everyone get's to start on the same playing field for me: Just on the wary and skeptical side of neutral. This has turned around in many cases. My original impression of Nuke was of an arrogant and self-important asshole. He currently is far an away one the people I hold in highest esteem in the community now and who I have the great pleasure to talk to now and again after having gotten to know him.

I am a semi-active member of the Escapist's IRC community which is a very friendly and accepting community which I would encourage people to test the waters in.

I like a lot of the people here, but there are some who are quite the douche. I'm not going to point fingers, but for example, all the grammar nazi's and the like.

If you had an avatar with anything but Brian Peppers, I would gladly have accepted it, lol.

OT; I used to like alot of people here, but now, I dunno, most of you go off topic, get banned or are just stupid. Hence why I very rarely go on The Escapist now a days. That's not to say that I dislike every single one of you, but as it is right now, it swings towards more of a "dislike" than "like" on the community.

A great example of why I dislike the community would be the furry thread yesterday, where several people instead of commenting on the topic in itself, started bashing furries. You act as if this was 4chan, but in the next thread you bash 4chan. It's so much fucking hypocrisy.

This I must also agree with. The hypocrisy of some people is just unnerving. How can this be the safe haven of the internetz if we are no better than the scum we condemn?

Oh yes, I care. I've met people who I consider very close friends through this site. They're humourous and intelligent people and I hope I'm still friends with them in decades to come, whether I wind up meeting as many of them as I'd like to or not. Some have left, others have stuck around, others still have risen to great power and self-importance (here's looking at you, Ultrajoe) while still keeping a sense of humour to their egos. My friends here are writers and artists, comics, raconteurs, techies, nerds, goths, metalheads and all around fantastic people.

there are very few people i do care that much about.....as in a friend way....and they are all added on my twitter and facebook page.....the one i care most about is Frank_Sinatra_ and that's cause he's awesome and shares my view on humanity

About the only people on here who I actually consider "friends" even though I don't talk to any of them lol.

Well, the people on my friends list are people I would be friends with in real life, and in real life I'm friends with people who amuse/please me. I like my friends.

I care about all of you, but I care about those in my friends list that little bit more. (Even you Pervert)
