Poll: Ethical Dilemmia

So i have been thinking for this for quite a while now and this is the first time im going to be outspoken about it.

My question is
If in a situation where you had to kill someone, and three people were given and if you didn;t choose anyone they would all die including yourself, who would it be.

So if in a Saw like situation, where you had to choose who died and who lived, you were given 3 buttons and 2 minites to choose and press a button, what would you choose.

50-60 year Old, would be Button 1, someone who is enjoying their retirement or the last years of their job after a lifetime

25-35 year old would be Button 2. my or may not be married would be missed by friends and family is currently in a job

10 - 0 year old would be button 3. newborn or up to the age of 10 ect ect, devistating to the family.

i want to know if anyone is like me and would choose button 3.

Why would i,
not the older person, becauce they have endured a long life and are now being reawrded for their hard work, aka retirement, they may, or may not still have their wife/husband.

Not the 25-35 year old because they still have potential to be great for their families and have endured a bit or made success for themself.

Which leaves the younger person, it would pain me to make the decidion but i would make it because it is the least ... trained, person there, and wiping 10 years of the face of the earth is not as bad as 25 years.

i would really like to know what you guys/gals think

This is a tough one. But I have to do this one logically. The old person is least likely to contribute to society in terms of real, hard labor. The kid could grow up and be awesome. And the middle person is already contributing.

The old person certainly doesn't deserve to die, but they aren't contributing to society anymore. The middle person is actively working. The baby may not yet be working but they could grow up to be awesome, maybe help us colonize mars or some shit like that. Lots of potential in young people.

I would just like to point out that Jigsaw finds murder to be bad. And that definitely falls under murder....so, not likely to be put in this spot by him. Maybe me though....but I'd be sure you knew all 3 people...yup.

I will save the old guy just to be different. Who knows, maybe that kid will grow up to be Hitler, and that man beats his wife and lives off of unemployment cheques. You can never be too sure....

Alot of people are safe from this age related trap, like me for example... I have a good 6 years until I may even be considered for this.

Oh, I would pick Option 1... Mainly because I dont want to be alive for that long so I could only assume that maybe the person for option 1 might not either... hopefully.

Kill the oldest one. Always kill the oldest one, because they've lived life the most. If the oldest is 30, then kill them, if the oldest is 100, then kill them, if the oldest is 4, and the other 2 are younger, than kill the 4 year old. Also, the whole "Old-age is a reward" thing is, IMO, bullshit. Golden years my ass. The older you get, generally, the less you can do. What's so gold about that crap?

The other two have yet to expriance a full life. The child might grow up to be a killer but deserve the chance.

The statistics for unwanted kids suggest that they are the likely to turn to crime and be a drain on society. If his family doesn't want him it seems like the kindest option is to choose him.
