Poll: Ever eaten paste?

You know, you hear about the 'kid eating paste' joke a lot in movies, t.v. shows, and what-not, but not only have I never personally consumed paste, I've never seen a child do it either. It's not food, and really it smells disgusting.

I've seen a child eat paper before because he thought he was going to get in trouble because of what was on it. He tore it up, stuffed it into his mouth and chewed like a beast before the teacher could grab it. It was probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen. But I've never seen a child eat paste, 'just because'.

I have actually done that. Didn't taste as bad as I expected.

But paste? No. The smell actually gave me headaches if I was around it too much.

I was about five or six in kindergarten and I knew and sometimes saw that kids ate paste but well I....knew it wasn't food. That's the only explanation I could think of. I actually read on the bottle that it was not to be ingested so I didn't risk it.

i saw someone eat paper plates at a birthday party (when he was 8) because there was no food left. surprisingly, he digested it very well.
never seen anyone eat glue though...

Hmmm, the glue we used in art smelled like popcorn but definitely didn't taste like it! I can't say I know what 'paste' is exactly, but it looks like PVA glue.
