I buy basically everything off the internet. I've never had an issue with my information being stolen or anything remotely like that.

I've only ordered a couple of things online. The first was a PS1 which I got because the Slim PS2 apparently has a piece in it that dies after a while, causing it to become incapable of playing PS1 games. I got the console which unfortunately didn't come with any cords. Sent the seller an email and he sent them over in the next couple days.

The one doing the salute. I laugh my ass off every time I see his face...and the mustache.

Yea, he looks pretty funny. IF he had the hat on, I cry of laughter.
You have to wonder if the photographer made it look like this on purpose.
If he did, then I would love to high five that man. He did a great job.
I'm still thinking that I might get my friend to photoshop the other hat on there just for lulz. Then post it on 4chan and start a meme.
Yes. Everyone will then photoshop that stupid hat on every picture
Don't forget the motivator macros.
True. You can never forget the motivator macros.

I was not aware that level of honesty existed when he could have just said "screw off".

Ah, yes, I remember fondly the first thing I ever bought off the internet:

A Papa John's pizza. Just clicked around, typed in the order and address, and 25 minutes later or so, a car pulled up, and I got the door, wrote the check, said thanks, was web-surfing with tomato sauce and cheese. :)

I'd be happier if the web did more Cash On Delivery stuff. Ah well.

Being in China, it's a bit expensive to order stuff from the West that can't be downloaded. Getting through customs is a headache, too.

Mostly various toys (Gundam, G.I. Joes, Halo, etc.), computer parts, and occasionally a case of Brawndo, as well as t-shirts and various other bits and bobs that I'll never really need. Like that USB rocket launcher.

Paypal

Depends on where it's coming from; imported stuff takes a few weeks, domestic takes a few days.

I live in Southeastern Canada and the hat is coming from somewhere in the States. Just ordered it a few hours ago, how long do you think it will take to get here?

Probably a couple weeks.

You gave the shipper a phone number to contact you, right?

Otherwise it will be stopped at the border, guaranteed.

I order crap all the time, it's not as big a deal as some people make it out to be. "You're going to get your identity stolen!!"

Nah, it's just required by law to have a contact number in case something goes wrong.

99% nothing will happen, but there is a slight chance that your package will be stopped for some reason, and they'll have to contact you to clear anything up. It happened to me when my buddy and I ordered a few cases of Bawls to 'distribute' at our fundraising events for our anti-social club - Guarana isn't recognized by the Canadian Food Board, and thus can't be sold as food in Cananda. But it can technically be consumed, though it took a little effort.

What did you have to do, if you don't mind me asking?

We just had to say that it was not going to be sold, and that we were aware that the Canadian Food Board doesn't officially approve.

For a hat, the only problem would be if there was something wrong with the info given.

I got it because it was cheaper online than in in store. I ordered it on a weekend, it was processed and lodged at Australia post two days later at 2:30 PM as the day before was a public holiday. It was delivered the day after at 10:30 AM. (Good thing I live in the Sydney Metropolitan Area)

I got my mum to pay with American Express and yes I probably will use it again.

Good thing then. Should be okay as long as my hat's not being shipped by Nazis.
