Poll: Ever thrown a controller

Seriously though, I've never thrown a controller, but when I was 8 I used to play Madden with my dad on the N64. He was surprisingly good and could usually keep up with me, but one day I absolutely smoked him. He demanded a rematch and I actually got up by 7 touchdowns. He then came close to scoring his first, but I intercepted his pass and ran for another touchdown. When that happened he threw my controller so hard it shattered. Bought me a new one though so it ended up being all good.

I threw my controller once, and almost broke it but It was a mad cat so I was able to unscrew it and put it back together.

very very rarely, I will get so angry at a game that I turn it off and then throw the controller onto my bed, or into pillows or something.

My Gamecube controllers probably have more total air time than I do, but damn that is quality hardware.

I never have done it myself, but I have often entertained the idea and let it hang in the air for a while. Then I remember that I paid for it, so I don't end up doing it.

haha, if you throw your controller, then you have anger problems. If you find yourself in this situation, make sure that you take a break and do something else that is more pleasurable, than playing video games.

i did as a kid a LOT, games back then were just sooooo much harder tho so these days new games dont frustrate me because they are really easy

the older games i still love to play and they do still frustrate me but im an adult now so i just stop playing and regain my composure instead before trying again

Only once while I was playing Ninja Gaiden on the hardest difficulty I was angry out of my mind I must have died at least 50 times. (Don't worry the controller is fine)

The only controller that was ever thrown around here was one that broke from use, a lot of use...But that doesn't count it's just a paper weight at that point.

I did throw an SNES controller down a few times while playing Street Fighter 2 with my brother, but those things were built like bricks. The SNES was dropped down a 16 step flight of stairs and worked for a good 15 years after. The only other time I remember throwing a controller was when I was playing that driving level in the new Alone in the Dark on 360. It was more of a toss, and it was on the couch, but seriously, anyone who has played that level knows why I was pissed at it.

I threw a controller once into a pile of pillows, I dont want anything to happen with it, its pretty expensive. My friend almost destroyed my TV with a Wii remote though. It was centimeters away from hitting my TV. He didnt do it on purpose, alchohol was involved too

No, but I almost did.
I was playing Dead Rising, and after dying from a bullshit stun-lock attack for the ninth time in the row I was so frustrated I raised my arm up, and had to pause.

I thought, here I am, never letting a game get under my skin before, and about to chuck my (not cheap) controller at my friend's (also not cheap) TV.

That's when I decided I couldn't play that game anymore.

While trying to defeat Spinal, I kept getting killed by his cheap teleportation move, I cracked it and made the conscious decision to destroy the N64s controller. I felt MUCH better afterwards. I throw my 360 controller all the time, but usually at the couch. Those things aren't cheap!

Uh, all the above really. I can control my controllers... usually, but it doesn't stop me from effing up and tossing things across the room, either by accident, or through frustration.
