I really doubt it. I might, but I am really sick of 3D being used as this gimmick. I hate 3D so much at this point that it might be the thing that makes me not buy this system. My DS Lite is fine, and unless there are games I can't live without exclusively for the 3DS, I'll pass on it.

Hells yes. Besides, I've been wanting a new DS for ages, I just wanted to see if there was a new DS coming out this year or not before spending money on the unnecessary DSi. I will most definitely be asking for this come Christmas time, assuming it's out by then. (And it probably will)

I knew it would be good, but I didn't think it would be this good. Metal Gear Solid, Star Fox, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil and a revival of Kid Icarus? And that's just a start? Count me in. I haven't been this excited for a handheld since the original DS.

It looks fine, if a bit unnecessary, it just makes me mad that movie, game, and electronic companies think they can charge you so much extra just because its in 3D, and it makes me sick that they're getting away with charging so much for such a mild improvement, and such and overrated gimmick.

It looks fine, if a bit unnecessary, it just makes me mad that movie, game, and electronic companies think they can charge you so much extra just because its in 3D, and it makes me sick that they're getting away with charging so much for such a mild improvement, and such and overrated gimmick.

While I agree that 3D is pretty gimmicky, they have not even announced the price.

Oh, please. You know it's going to be something totally outrageous. It'll probably cost more than $200, which will be really annoying considering that the original DS retailed for $150. If it's priced below $200 (And not something like $199.99) then I'll consider it, but I really doubt it'll be that cheap.

OT: As for the games; Kid Icarus, remake of old title, not interested
Ocarina - Remake, even though its an amazing game, sorry not interested.
Starfox, remake of old title, not interested.
MGS? Sorry but I've never liked the MGS games, and oh look, another remake.

Why dont they use the talented developers they cleary have to make some new refreshing titles, instead of repackaging their old ones for every new generation of hardware? When is the Metroid 3DS title coming out? Or Mario? We know they will. I think Nintendo are out of touch with the gaming community these days and rely on gimmicky hardware, like the Wii etc to sell units. The Wii on paper was an astounding idea, in reality, the hardware wasnt working as we were told it would and the titles released, outside of the repackaged franchises were pretty much awful. The repackaged titles we're worse than the Gamecube (my fave console ever), the graphics a slight upgrade...

Dont read this as me hating Nintendo, this is me just at the end of my tether with them, I loved Nintendo and they let me down. Time and time again.

You are probably right. Considering that the DSi is $170 I think this one will sell for $200 if we are lucky.

No way, for what I'd use portable games for (cars, planes, etc) I get sick enough as it is from the 'car sickness' thing, add a sickening 3rd dimension.

And I'll be cleaning carrots (it's always carrots...) off the screen.

I personally need to see the 3DS for myself before I consider a day one purchase, but I do plan on getting it.

The GBA slot needs to make a return, but I suppose it is nice that they decided to copy the PSP. It's flattering, really. The DSL is the best DS there is.

It looks pretty cool, and if that list is truthful, it will have a lot of great games.
