Didn't you read the rest of my post?
Yes, I did. I also said that the player count has nothing to do with the client platform.

It might not have been done before on the PS3, but FPS games on the PC aren't that different from their console incarnations that there's any reason to skip them. Not to mention we've had games with hundreds of players on at the same time since Club Caribe on the C64, so I really wouldn't be hyped about anything based on its supposed player count.

If they manage to make it so that it's fun more than 10% of the time (that is when you've found someone to actually fight), then I'll be interested.
It still doesn't change the fact that it hasn't exactly been done before on a console.

Wether or not it will succeed is another story, who knows what's going to happen with it until we get some more information out of it.

Which has me returning to ask whether that has any relevance with anything.

Unless this is just some kind of silly effort to spin the issue. I don't see "console games" and "PC games", I see games as a whole. Making it sound like it's some never-before-seen feat to make a shooter with 256 people online on the PS3 when that has been done on technically inferior platforms before is...well, one of the funniest things I've heard all day to be honest.

Never said it was hard/easy to technically make it, that doesn't concern me.

Wether or not it's a technical mirical or something, it's still a first and has yet to be seen if it will work or not, both for fun-ness(?) and in just working right.
