Poll: Facebook hate?

Do any of you currently hate or know why so many people dislike Facebook and other social networking sites? I really can't seem to understand where all this hate comes from for it.

Because it's cool to hate those who are sociable. Like it's cool to hate that which the masses do, no matter what it is.

It has a lot of crap on it, but the day you hate on a social networking site is the day when...well I don't know what to say after that.

Eh random hate happens, for a number of reasons. Just ignore it.

im not so big on twitter tho...
i have one but its kind of boring.

Funnily enough, my friends used to say "MSN/Windows Live Messenger is boring! It's something I never understood actually.

Lets me find wherw the party is at any given night, I can't be calling 100 people a night to see what's going on, so it's a win in my book. Very convienient. I would say people that hate just want to be haters, and let them do it. It doesn't hurt anybody who actually uses the site.

I don't hate it, but I don't particularly like it. To me, it is something fill idle time by. Although I do hate the people that checks up on it all the time, when it inconveniences me. Like my ex.

It decent for keeping updating with friends who are in college. But I despise those updates of those other people from school are your friends on facebook for the sake of it! Sure I can hide their update but I'm trying to make a point here.

Actually, for me, at least, it's the fact they can do whatever the fuck they like with your details and don't even have to tell you as it's all in the agreement that nobody bothers to read and is changed whenever the fuck they want without telling you. Yeah, ethics, schmethics. Also, there's the 'public to the world' thing, the 'pointless email' thing, the 'takes 14 days to quit so they can steal all of your data before you're allowed to leave' thing, the 'discouraging real interaction between people' thing, the pokes, the 'friends list filled with the people that are secretly douchebags that you don't even like but they added you first' thing... and many more!

I'm sorry, but I just don't give a shit about your boring status updates about your boring lives, and the shitty music and videos you have embedded on your page aren't very good either.

Twitter is even worse.

I hate parts of it, specifically the people who use it. It's like every time someone logs on their IQ drops 30 points. Evry wrd iz spelt liek dis n it drivez me Nsane! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!1111oneone!!11 I especially hate all those dumb groups people make on it. "Join this group if you like Ice Cream Sandwiches!" "Join my group if you hate cats!". There are so many pointless groups and quizzes people make just so they can think that other people think they are quirky and funny. Which Twighlight character are you? What type of fucking TREE are you? Which candy are you like? Every so often I will convince myself to give Facebook another shot, and about three minutes after I log in every time, it drives me insane. People adding me as 'Friends' just because we went to the same highschool? There were 2400 other people there and I never even met you! Friend doesn't mean someone you once made eye contact with.

Also, now that Facebook is so popular it's hard to keep your own privacy. If you go to a small party and make an ass of yourself in front of a dozen or so people, you're bound to end up on at least one of their Facebook pages for all of their 500 friends to see. I'm sure there are plenty of pictures of me online that I don't even know about.

I like it, but only because I don't have a phone. I use it as my form of communication when face-to-face isn't possible.
