I just bought the GOTY Edition (28 votes to 12 to 2, answer was clear).

Now I have to download 7800 MB at ~200 KB/s.

Oh, and have fun with all the mods.
Go on Fallout3nexus.com and check the top 100, the first thing you do.
I'm there right now, actually.

Definitely and if you are getting it on the PC as you have said you have access to one of the best modding communities out there with tons of free content from mods.

Yeah, I had a whole lot of mods for Oblivion, and from what I've seen so far there might even be more for Fallout 3.

If you have one of the Sun related ones I think it works in FO I forget which one but I definitely remember it working.

Your poll speaks a thousand words. Go get.
Yeah, 52 to 18 to 4. I hope those 52 people are right (and I'm sure they are) because I just bought it. I expect that to be my most well-spent 50 dollars.

It is a good game however the GOTY has some horrible bugs for instance when you die and continue the story you can lose some of your companions like I had

Do you recommend the PS3 or PC version? I'm leaning towards PC so I can use mods and carry it around on my lappy. How hard is the game to play with a track pad?

Definitely get the GOTY edition. It's a great game if you're into open RPGs, and the DLC is (for the most part) shweet.

Difinatly, double so for the pc, literaly thousands of mods out there, best site is falloutnexus.com, I can recomend a few ;D although be carefull, having too many tends to make the game very unstable

Oh, and is this game going to piss me off if Morrowind pissed me off for having no sense of direction?

I would say buy the game by itself. the only dlc that i really think are worth the money are "point lookout" and "broken steel"

I accidentally did that with Oblivion and now it crashes after about 30 seconds.
