I still found them to be a bit challenging, it's easy to fight them in the wasteland, but in Old Oney where there's lots of corners to be backed into, they can still be a nightmarePiemaster said:

It's way too easy. The Educated perk gives you double skill points from skill books, and there's so many skill books to begin with that you can max out nearly all of your skills if you do enough searching. Combine that with the Bobbleheads, and you've got a game practically plays itself.
Seriously, I didn't put points into gun skills until level 19 or 20 because I ran out of other things to put them in. Even before that point, the only enemies that even remotely challenged me - and yes, with a Small Guns skill of about 20-30 - were Deathclaws and Sentry Bots. Now, Sentry Bots are the only things that challenge me in the least, and only if I don't have any Plasma Grenades. I have 50,000 caps, almost all the weapons in the game, kill most enemies in one or two headshots, literally hundreds of Stimpaks and drugs, etc. The game was harder before this point, especially in the beginning, but now the only thing that has a hope of killing me is my own carelessness.

I do like the game. I loved the first two Fallout adventures (not so much Tactics) and I reckon this one trumps them both. I was just slightly disappointed by the way the game ended so suddenly and so bereft of challenge. It's weird 'cause I found Oblivion to be impossibly hard. As many have noted, though, I'm sure there are challenges awaiting me in the wasteland...
However, I don't believe in contriving difficulty settings by handicapping myself. I mean I COULD deliberately exceed my weight limit and then try to take down a Behemoth with the 10mm pistol, but for me it would kind of break immersion.
Still not as difficult as New Zealand Story, anyway.

I completed the game once, and being fustrated about not being able to carry on playing I started a new charater. I also thought it was too easy and found I had played the whole game on hard. I tried very hard and by level 9 I had cleared the mall of all super mutants and the capitol building of well, everything, with 20 stinpaks and without leaving the area fo sleep or repairs or to buy new ammo. The best gun I had was a laser pistol and I had such little ammo I ended up using a 10mm pistol, all my other weapons had broken.
This was so easy it made me feel bad. I didn't even have a follower!
