Bounce some ideas around while ur at it. What do you think would be interesting to see in the post-apocalyptic wasteland?

I'm trying not to get all over excited or pay too much attention to it because over-hyping ruins things for me, but it does look pretty interesting.

What I'm kind of curious about is the 'hardcore' mode where it tracks ammo weight and all of that. It'll be interesting to play a post-nuclear war survival RPG where you actually have to, you know, SURVIVE.

I hope they've found a nice selection of classic music to go along with the original set from Fallout 3. I always felt there weren't enough songs.

I am looking forward to it, but to participate in the point that a large portion of voters are jerks, I went with "I LIKE CHEESE!".

I'm easily looking forward to it.

though if I'm gonna go for the Hardcore Mode, I hope there's a homebase I can store extra crates of ammo with, and I'd probubly need to turn less to the internet and more to someone who's ex-military to beat that game in Hardcore mode.

I know's it's not a sequel to Fallout 3, but I'm still hoping we'd get to learn about the canon Lone Wanderer, just as we learned about the Canon Vault Dweller from Fallout 1 in Fallout 2.

know what I'm saying?

Oh yes, I am getting that game and I am really excited about it. It's about time we got another Fallout game set on the West Coast. So what do have this time? Super Mutant army? Return of the Enclave? Has the NCR finally gone all bad? I'm excited to find out.

Well, it's said to be more populated, and I love large towns with things to do and people to talk to (like rivet city) so this will be right up my street...

Well, I've only played Fallout 3,
It's a different developer,
And I've only seen the one trailer.

I'm with-holding judgment until I know more about it. So to answer your poll: I'm a Mozarella fan.

im gonna have to go with the I LIKE CHEESE!!!!!! spot because im stuck in the between fallout fan and fallout critic (VATS basically took all the skill away from the game)

so if they refine vats or make real time gunplay more accurate and reliable then its a hell yeah for me

In all seriousness, or lack thereof, I have some info on this upcoming title. Most people already know about the hardcore mode. Here is a short list of "facts" that all my sources agree on:

1 Town-by-town reputation system.
2 Endings based upon more than karma. (like the reputation system)
3 VATS special melee attacks. (as in, choose from a list of melee attacks)
4 Vehicles

(Not all of these "facts" are 100% solid)

Vehicles, and Town by Town have been confirmed by the folks that are making the game. I just hope they actually require a bit more skill to get through then fallout 3..the weightless Ammo I understood..but make it more scarce for all variety's besides the sniper and 44. Seriously by level 16 I was tripping over Assualt rifle ammo, and missiles. But at least Hardcore mode will be awesome! All in all, I'm stoke for this game Fallout's 1-3 are my favorite survival games ever.

Why do people always feel the need to put a random 'funny' option in polls?

It negates the whole point of having the poll and frequently ends up with thread derailment.

OT:

Yes, I'm very excited about it because it looks to combine the best bits of F3 with the feel of the old games.

A bunch of the folks who worked on the first two games are working on this one, so at least we know the plot probably won't have more holes than swiss cheese, unlike Fallout 3.

And this Hardcore Mode sounds like an awesome thing which the series would have benefited from in the start. I'm definately gonna' give that a try.

Well, just wait until Metro 2033 then, literally have to keep track of the amount of oxygen you have left to breath with an in-game watch, and there's no real way to pause the game, so if you happen to look at your map, you're still susceptible to attack.

On topic though, I'm really not trying to get too hyped for it, I don't to be disappointed.

I'm not much for the "Western" feel it's giving me
Never been much of one for Western stuff.
Otherwise it looks fairly Interesting
And I said the above poll option because I voted "Cheese"
