Nerd Time!

What do you prefer, Sci-Fi or Fantasy? Personally I like Sci-Fi much better. Even though its fiction, it still SEEMS possible. I also how it has so many possibilities and makes them seem at least plausible. Fantasy has jsut never really done it for me.

I like Sci-Fi Fantasy... Let me check to make sure that's what this book is listed as...

Damn, it's not... Well, I like both categories equally so... can I have a 'both' option?

Oh shit, that's a hard one.

I guess fantasy by a margin. I found the whole slaying the dragon (etc etc) schmeel more entertaining.

Both. It's practically the same genre.

One just has Sufficiently Advanced Magic and the other has Sufficiently Advanced Technology.

I love them both, but my first love was Sci-fi. Mecha, computers, cold, hard, steel...

I prefer a combination of the two, like how FF usually does. I mean, any technology advanced enough could seem like magic anyway, right? I forgot who said that quote.

Sadly, no game like Master of Magic has ever been made. It was a combination of civilization and master of orion and all sorts of wonderful turn-based strategy...Another one of my great favorites is X-Com UFO Defense.

I love both worlds so much, I'd hate to choose between the two, but I edge towards Sci-Fi from the books I've read, movies I've watched, and games I've played. But Steampunk is a combination of the two and it's probably my favorite.

Fantasy is my favourite genre

I do enjoy certain sci-fi such as Star Wars,Aliens,Warhammer 40k etc. It's just the really techy stuff that does nothing for me

I can't choose!
Fantasy by a sliver, just because the worlds seem so much more.... whimsical.

I believe it's Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"
