80's music has its own style that is very different from that of today. I am wondering what is your favorite song. Also a poll will be included for your opinion of 80's music in general.

It's pretty ok, in my opinion. A lot of it sounds exactly the same, but the gems of the 80's include Metallica, AC DC, Journey, Iron Maiden and a few others.

I love 80's electro pop, specially when I'm drinking.

Happy, happy music.

For the most part music in the 80's was fucking awful.

As for my favourite 80's song i'd say it was how soon is now by the smiths.

I love it. Although I was born in '92, so I get the rose tinted 80s instead of the rubbish stuff my parents had to go through.

As for song? Too many to mention, but Back in Black is one of the best songs by my favourite band, so I'll probably go for that.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to Vogue...

I honestly hate most of what came out of the eighties, apart from me and my loved ones. However, eighties hair metal has a special place in my heart, for some strange reason.

Tough call. If Thunderstruck had been made a year earlier, or Highway to Hell a year later, then one of those would easily be my choice. Since Turning Japanese has been in my head all day, I'll choose that for now.

My favorite song is "Stone in love" by Journey, followed by, well everything else be journey really... Best band ever. Also "Come sail away" by styx is great too. "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister is great too (So great in fact that it is a chrishtian rock song, I am an Athiest, and I still love it.)

Wasn't that on the Black Album released in '91?

OT: I find it difficult to choose one song from the 80's because 80s thrash metal is what I listen to. If I had to choose I just either Jump in the Fire by Metallica from the album Kill 'Em All or Last Words by Megadeth from the album Peace Sells

Outside of the amazing Speed Metal from the 80s, I have to say that it was the era of the awesomely bad stuff. So I present the king of awesomely bad.

Edit:
Dammit forgot the second one. And it was an awesome song to boot.

Pop 80's music is some of the worst music to ever be released as well as the 'popular rock' (IE hair metal) of the day.
Underground 80's though, was a glorious time period. Black Flag is the first one that comes to mind.
