I'm guessing Belle will win the poll. She's nerdy and likes to read...and this is the Escapist. That or people are going to vote for Ariel (ironically, of course).

P.S. That arts and crafts horse is stalking me too. I am very afraid at the moment.

Mulan isn't a princess. She's a warrior, and the daughter of a nobleman. Maybe that's why she kicks more ass than the rest of the Disney Princesses combined.
I like most of the disney princesses....Aurora and Snow White can stay asleep for all I care, but for the most part they're all pretty cool.
The one I like the most though is Belle. Why? Because for once, the mess she gets into, totally not her fault, and when it comes down to it, she doesn't let herself be pushed around. Instead of having to be saved all the time, she does some saving of her own, such as taking her father's place in the Beast's castle and then saving her father when she finds out he's sick in the woods.
The Beast is being an a-hole? She fucking LEAVES! Yes, she gets into danger with the wolves, I know, but stop and think about it for a moment. Ladies, is your boyfriend violent and roaring at you over every little thing? Is he a total bastard who demands everything? FUCKING LEAVE HIM!
Then when everything goes to hell and Gaston is being a prick and goes after the Beast does she sit around and cry? Hell no! She gets on her horse and goes after him!
The other princesses, yeah they're pretty cool, but Jasmine just sits around in her castle wanting someone else to "show her the world," Ariel is an idiot that doesn't see a evil witch when she's right in front of her. Tiana's all right and I give great respect to Mulan, but I love Belle.
Plus, unless they got cut off, you're a few princesses. There's eight "official" princesses, Ariel, Mulan, Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora, Belle, and Pocahontas.

About 15 years ago I would have said Cinderella. But now I see she sucks, all she does is sit and let everyone do stuff for her. Same goes for Ariel and Jasmine.
I know I've seen Pocahontas but I can't remember any of it.
I'd go with Mulan (I'm sure she's not a princess though?), she kicks arse and was the step in the right direction for Disney. Also you can fight with her in Kingdom Hearts II.

Belle is okay, but a bit dry and boring for my taste.
My favourite Disney lady is probably Jane from Tarzan. It's kind of a stupid movie, but Jane is so wonderfully goofy and expressive; Which is what all animated characters should strive to be.

Belle every time. She's intelligent,independent blah blah blah but why I really like her is because she's more flawed than the other princesses. She loses her temper, goes back on her word, she's incredibly sneaky, self-pitying, willing to trick people just for her own curiosity, pretty judgemental and more than a little bit condescending. Not that I don't love Ariel and co. but having a lead character who isn't a paragon of womanly virtues is way more interesting (and as an angry, sneaky, judgemental cow myself I felt I was being woefully under-represented in the princess department).
