Poll: Favorite Fallout New Vegas Companion

Veronica for me.
Dunno why. Maybe because she was the first one I encountered but she was always the best.
Beat the shit out of any and all enemies with her fists and was always fun to talk to.
Plus, I liked her side quest the best. Had the most interesting story out of them all to me so I always stuck with her and Rex if only because I couldn't bring myself to let Rex go.
I'm an animal lover and I can't abandon one! ;~;

I don't know why, but listening to Lily's recording made her my favorite. So even though she isn't as fleshed out as the other companions and her personal quest is probably the shortest... her.

Lily. It was awesome when I gave her a Gatling Laser to play with. Beats the purpose of Stealth, but getting rid of those annoying cazadores without them killing me is worth it.

Most of the time, I prefer Veronica because she is Ax Crazy [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AxCrazy]. I like that she takes care of people up close and I can play clean up with my recharger pistol.

I liked Cass up until I went to complete the quest "Birds of a Feather" with the Van Graffs, only to have her start a fight with them. After massacring them, she turns to me and says something along the lines of, "Why didn't you let me know you were going to start shooting?"

QUEST FAILED. RAGE. REVERSE PICKPOCKET GRENADE HER. Happiness.

So now I think my favorite is... no one. Arcade, maybe. Everyone is just awful. ED-E is a runner up.

Edit: I never did find Raul, I found his house, but he's never there. I'll have to look into that... perhaps there's hope yet.

if you do complete birds of a feather Cass is suposed to get desintegrated, shes actually not suposed to kill them

anyway its also part of another quest where she finds out the van graffs and mclaferty from crimson caravan are behined her caravan being destroyed, so she suggests going to kill them

you can eather A. agree or B. disagree and go find evidence that will have the NCR bring them justice

if you go option B and then massacre them anyway she will be somwhat annoyed, jsut like you saw

thease quests overlap, you want cass alive you dont finish birds of a feather, it was a glicth that she probably survived, the annoying thing is you have to leave it unfinished you cant weasle your way out

Joshua Graham, from Honest Hearts. Former Legion Legate? The only human feared by the Legion? Badass Mormon with a .45 caliber pistol called 'A Light Shining in Darkness'? Wrapped in bandages and a badass armoured vest? Hell yes. He's pretty much unkillable while you have him as a companion, and his ability with his pistol is crazy good.

Definitely ED-E, for several reasons. You don't have to manage equipment, and once upgraded, ED-E packs a very powerful punch. Another advantage of ED-E is being able to take a human companion at the same time. Usually Arcade for me. I like Arcade.

ED-E, I'm killing every human and super mutant in the mojave and sadly Rex attacked me when I killed all the Kings.

In another playthrough in which I work for the NCR I chose Rose, she looks like a girl I know in real life and thus is smokin hot. One of her quests also completely justified me getting a ton of free energy weapons from the Silver Rush.

My favourite, when I do decide to use companions, is Veronica. I just love the sarcastic quotes she has, and the craft any time option is awesome. Least favourite... Arcade Gannon or Rex, I hardly ever use those two.

He's being held captive on Black Mountain actually.
Raul was my favorite.
He's the most useful combat-wise, his perk is the best, and his lines are the best.
All around best.
Arcade didn't mesh too well with me due to his energy weapons focus.
Plus I did his quest for Enclave armor as soon as I got him, so I didn't really get a feel for him since you lose him at the end.

I'll have to check that out! Thanks for the tip. Also, you lose Arcade eventually? Shit. Ha ha, I never get too in-depth into NV because I get sidetracked easily or restart.

You only lose Arcade if you complete his personal quest. Completing it does give power armor training, and Remnant's power armor (Best armor in the game) though.

I had Boone and Rex with me. I might just leave Boone behind though, he's so overpowered with that Anti-Material Rifle I gave him that he's stealing all my action! As for Rex, well, he's just too adorable to really put into danger. I take him with me when just strolling in the desert, where he can't be harmed.

Next time I'm going to bring Lily though. She's hilarious.

I liked Veronica best, with power amror and a ballistic fist she is insanely strong.
Also being able to use her as a portable workbench was rather handy.

Last time I checked though she was somewhat of a glass cannon. Something about not leveling properly so that, while she still got amazingly strong with a Ballistic Fist, she was also killed very rapidly herself. Has that been patched yet?
