Poll: Favorite Final Fantasy 1 Character Class

Kinda, out of the blue, but I just rediscovered this gem with a GBA emulator. Boy, I had some fun. Well, to get on topic, My favorite is the Red Mage.

Black Belt was awesome,was stronger then the fighter and didn't need weapons (so you saved money for other items and magic, which WAS important in the old days).
That and I am in martial arts, so I'm a little biased

Dispite the above being an absolute yes for me, I have to go with White Mage.
Too bad I don't have my old avatar...

White Mages FTW... I use to play FFXI (MMO one). I had a 70whm and I out-soloed a 74rdm... Since I believe most people here has never even heard of how soloing in this works I'll briefly tell you. No one really solos past lvl 10-15 but beastmaster. But people manipulate the class and sub class system so people can do so. RDMs are suppose to be the best soloers besides bst because they literally have unlimited magic points almost and they can enfeeble the enemy the best. And most people believe whms couldn't solo nearly as well as a rdm. In FFXI I got a lil too cocky as a whm and I challenged a rdm that's 4 levels high than me, that's a huge diffence when a single level can mean you either have a powerful ability or not as well as better stats. The challenged was who ever could solo the most exp in 1 hour without dying of course. Well lets just say, job's doesn't matter in survival as much as skill... *cough* the rdm died from poor management of abilities. RDMs are too cocky too lol but for those who never played 11, lets see how long you can last in any FF without any healing then go cry to the whms for some good ol' healing.

wow pretty good response! Black belt was changed to monk in later versions,fighter to warrior (quick carification) And yes. The hat is the most awesome thing ever. BOW TO THE RED MAGE, JACK OF ALL TRADES!

though I normaly am a white mage person I love the black belts they can deal more damage than you could imagine, (if you are talking about the original) since they can take out the final boss in two rounds

Having only played the GBA remake, I have to go with the Thief. He's faster, does nearly the same damage as the Fighter (tanks to the new way the GBA version calculates damage), and, gets a cooler class upgrade.
