Go on, tell me. I want to know where you escapists stand. Doesn't have to be for any game in particular, I just had a hard time coming up with examples outside of shooters.

Personally, I feel like there's nothing quite like grinding your opponents down with just a friend or two; bigger game sizes get less personal and I feel like what I do has less impact on the overall win/lose.

Team deathmatch always.

As of right now its mixed species TDM in AVP. Its fun as hell with several players, sadly most players like to rage quit a lot leaving to many uneven games.

My favourite game type is singleplayer, because I don't have to put up with other people.

Otherwise, I'd like co-op, because then I can choose who I have to put up with.

Are you sure they rage-quit? I've found that a lot of times the connection simply drops and you get kicked form the game. Or the host gets kicked.

Either that or the community playing AVP are assholes.

Other for me!

I enjoy the more large scale attack/defend bases/spawn sort of thing. Like in MAG, or any Battlefield Iteration, or any Unreal Tournament game, the list goes on.

Team Deathmatch if we're talking online (and assuming the game is a shooter), but overall you can't beat a good old bout of splitscreen co-op with some beers and some friends (the beers are actually pretty good at videogames).

I prefer playing things like Capture the Flag, or other base gametypes.
Anything where each team has a base, really.
I am a defensive player, so I find a nice position and deny entry to the attackers...

I like "Headhunt" modes, where one player is suped up, and every other player has to kill them.

I love CTF. It makes the game more about strategy and less about roaming around shooting anything that moves.

I don't know. I've only played one big team match and even then half of the other team left. It could be a combination of bad connection and rage quitters. I kind of wish players can simply just join in games like MW2. Also they need to speed up game searches, I'm sick of waiting for five minutes.

I once waited for 3 games in a row, only to have me instantly lose connection about 1 minute in. 20 minutes without anything to do.

And I don't think I've ever played a game that hasn't had players drop out.

Capture The Point. It's a lot easier to get kills in CP... and... That's pretty much why I love it.
