Poll: Favorite Game Type

I tend to like single player and co-op the most, but out of the list, it'd have to be Team Deathmatch. Although I wish there were more survivor modes in games.

Are you sure they rage-quit? I've found that a lot of times the connection simply drops and you get kicked form the game. Or the host gets kicked.

Either that or the community playing AVP are assholes.

I don't know. I've only played one big team match and even then half of the other team left. It could be a combination of bad connection and rage quitters. I kind of wish players can simply just join in games like MW2. Also they need to speed up game searches, I'm sick of waiting for five minutes.

I once waited for 3 games in a row, only to have me instantly lose connection about 1 minute in. 20 minutes without anything to do.

And I don't think I've ever played a game that hasn't had players drop out.

I suppose I'm the only one who hasn't had extreme game finding and connection issues, then?

Give me an example and I'll put it up there. Like I said, it's all I could come up with at the moment.

Open CoD or Halo and look at the gametypes:
Hardcore, Domination, Sabotage, GTNW, Ground War, Demolition, Search and Destroy, 3rd Person, cage match, shotty-snipers, Griff Ball, plus gametypes from other games.

Any team based mode, I play alot of DM, CTF and territories. I do prefer DM though because at least you won't have as many guys going off and doing something not related to the goal of the game.

Wow that sucks, I fell sorry for you man.

And same here. Just once I like to play a match without anyone leaving, because it has a domino effect. Once one person leaves, almost everyone else leaves. Thus resulting to 1 v 3 games, and I hate 1 v 3 games.

I didn't want to be specific to just a couple games, which is why I didn't put those in. Beyond that I don't really know what the CoD ones are since I don't play it.
PS: Griff Ball sucks and should no longer be allowed on the weekend playlist.
EDIT: Also, "Hardcore" isn't really a specific game type, is it? And "3rd Person" is a type of game, not a game type. There is a difference.

either COOP or TDM, but COOP goes on top, because it's better when there's a solid story behind what you're doing... at least that's what i see it...

I've always liked FFA deathmatches. I love not having to worry about anything and just kill everything that moves, if I want strategy I'll go play an RPG or RTS I play FPS games to get mah action on. Co-op would be next because there's always wacky shenanigans to be had in co-op games.

Oh, well Hardcore is usually in most games, in some form. I don't play Halo, so I have no idea what the gametypes are anymore.

I normally like objective based modes, although TDM can be fun if there's enough people and the enemy team sucks.

Would survival be against the other team, or AI? I like headquaters in MW2 because it has point capture and defending, yay!

I suppose survival could be against AI or against a gradually increasing enemy team, like infestation in AvP or infection in Halo. I shall separate the options.

agreed, you did the right thing in adding a general wide spectrum of results and 3rd person is an entirely different shooter type of game, call of duty just tried to pull that to attract a wider audience, which they made the camera at a horrible angle anyways so i dont know anyone who plays that mode

OT: co op, you can't go wrong, its ALWAYS a good time with a bud or two playing that

the only time i have ever gotten mad was playing online and stupid borderlands people who just go for straight loot runs

I usually play team death match. Its satisfying to kill your teammates when they deserve it.
