You spelled Ethan's name wrong, just saying, no A in there
I like Ethan because he had a lot of tension in his stories. The trials bring out fear even in the player, who doesn't experience the near death that Ethan does. He paints a man who has nothing else left to lose. I felt scared when he woke up away from the park. And in my ending, since I've gotten 2 endings now, each time I was filled with emotions from true sadness to the point of tears (seriously) to joy beyond explaining, with a roller coaster each time after the epilogues.
Jayden was fun, but I felt that he was too far from the action, and though he won my fights (since he was lucky to have a QTE player helping him out), I felt that he got lucky a lot. But Jayden's Blues is where I felt he and I seperated. Nathaniel, wow, that part had me jumpy to a point of me not in control of myself, nervous and trying to stay cool unsuccessfully.
Shelby really was a strange character. Everything he did was just, odd. He wanted to be painted as a good guy, but even after helping someone, he seemed like a jerk. Especially after helping Lauren out at the beginning. I definatly didn't feel as connected with him.
Madison was a character who had power over others, especially in the ending, since one choice I made differently with her changed a ending full of emotional changes to an ending of warm fuzzy feeling. She felt like the least important of the 4, but in reality was the turning point that made me realize just HOW much power a single character can have.
I didn't like Blake. A cop like him not only scares me, but had me angry I couldn't pull him off during Nathaniel. He's not only a horrible example of police officers, but I found him infuriating to the point that my own thoughts were to be opposite of him since he tried to pull the "I want to save the kid" thing with people. Though, in that sense that he bothered me so, I found him a character with a lot personality behind him, well defined.
I thought every character had that kind of powerful, visual personality, even though the game would freeze occasionally, and the faces would be weird sometimes, their faces could still tell their stories, from anger to lust (though kissing seems to be something game designers need to work on in motion capture) to fear, everything could be told through faces and their voices, which were fantastically voiced and cast. I liked Ethan Mars best, a father out to save his son by giving himself to the trials, but he wasn't superman, and the others all give him depth, everyone complemented everyone I thought
