When I played ME1, I played a soldier, simply because they had all the weapons, and the Assault Rifle was OP. But once ME2 came out, and the Vangaurd got Charge... well, no need to explain much more, is there?
It's a tie between Engineer and Adept. I chose Engineer for the pole because it has the longest play time over all my saves (at least it feels that way).
I played SOldier in 1 and 2 but went vangaurd in 3 - much funner, especially in 3 where I can run into a group, pause, rotate reticle to face their face, unpause, face explodes.
I hated the biotic and tech powers in ME1. Then I played a Vanguard in ME2 and came a thousand times over using Charge. There is nothing mortifying than sending someone flying into the air with push, then using charge and streaking through the air DBZ style and sending them far off into space.
Probably Soldier, I've always been a more run and gun kind of player. I remember when I first played ME1, I attempted to play as a Sentinel. Things didn't work very well for me so I restarted.
After playing through ME2 a bunch of times, I went and created an Infiltrator class. It's awesome having access to both tech and strong weapons.
I've also recently started playing as an adept in ME3's multiplayer. It's fun going around using a singularity and warp combo on enemies.
Sentinel. Dropping any sort of defense with ease. When I hit the higher levels in Mass Effect 3 every combat scenario became redonkulously easy, I had super quick recharge times on all my powers.
FTR, sentinel was also my favorite class in the other 2 games too.
