My soldier Shepherd, Wrex, and Garrus made a kickass team - mostly combat specialty that let us mop the floor with every opponent, but a bit of biotic support from Wrex and tech skills from Garrus to take care of anything that popped up in those areas. Wrex and I both had immunity (or whatever that ability is that jacked up your damage resistance), and I set Garrus up with quality armor and a couple health mods for it. We were pretty much unstoppable.
Character-wise, Wrex and Garrus are sweet, too. a big sarcastic dinosaur alien and a loose-cannon alien special agent? Awesome.

Wrex is the most interesting character type. All the others suffered annoying flaws that were used to justify their actions to too large of a degree. Didn't like any of the character except for Wrex since he was the most "real" and organic.
Please please note that I am judging this game more harshly then other games. The other characters are much more well done then many other games characters but since Mass Effect attempted to strive in that department with dialogue and personality I will judge them much more harshly.

I agree completely. I loved her voice. Even more, I loved that her face was obscured on her visor, but some very faint features still shone through, made me really wonder what she looks like. I hope more Quarians are in the sequel.WayOutThere said:

For me, Wrex followed by Garrius. Though Wrex and Ashley was pathetically easy with an infiltrator with assault rifles. The elevator dialog between Wrex and Ashley really sealed that pair for me.

Ashely: The commander is my superior officer, I can't imagine a situation in which we'd fight.
Wrex: That's why Sheppard is your SUPERIOR officer.

It's a toss-up between Wrex, Tali and Garrus. I kept Wrex and Tali in my party throughout my first playthrough. On my canon run before ME2 was released I kept Tali and Garrus throughout.
I guess I choose Tali. The other two are badasses, and Garrus is a bro, but my Shepard has a crush on Tali and I think she's a great character.

I can't choose. Mass Effect just had a brilliant seven-man cast. Each crew member brought something to the table for me, and I felt like they all had a place by my side at the fore of it. Losing them all in ME2 was a blow, and though I'd perfectly understand why it wouldn't happen, given each member's circumstances, it'd feel just like home having them in ME3.
