Most would agree Patton is one of the best vocalists of our time, especially in the genres of rock and metal. All I know for sure is he is definitely my favorite. But looking back I'm not sure if it's those early Faith No More years or his Mr. Bungle days that strung me along as a fan. Do admit some of his other projects I haven't cared for, but still I admit his greatness.

Going with Faith No More since The Real Thing is still one of my favorite songs after all these years. Love that song!

How about you? What's your ode to Patton?

Faith No More for me, but I've only ever heard of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle out of that list.

Not missing a great deal in my opinion. Lovage I like but the rest are fairly 'meh' in my opinion. Though a friend of mine is a huge Peeping Tom fan, never even had listened to Faith No More before I introduced him. Always amusing giving a "back in my day" speech.

Patton's a good vocalist but he's very unnecessarily showy, that annoys me sometimes because he pulls out a lot of trickery in ways that detract from the music rather than enhance it. It's impressive that he can do that stuff but it's a bit much sometimes - like a lead guitarist who just won't stop bloody soloing and play a chord for once. Although I did like Mr Bungle, or at least "Disco Volante" (first album on the other hand I can't stand, it's dated terribly, but that's not Bungle's fault, rather their legions of sucky imitators who all missed the point), and I also thought FNM's "Angel Dust" was decent, I think his best work is his recent "Mondo Cane" album where the music he's doing actually suits his vocal style perfectly, probably for the first time in his career.

I just bought "Mundo Cane" and "Suspended Animation" the other day, both very good, and very different.

I'm a fan of both Mr. Bungle and Faith No More, though I haven't heard of the others.

I'll go with The Darkness, starring Mike Patton.

I can't answer this question! I need an option that says love them all! Mike Patton has made music that fits any mood. So it really depends what mood I'm in.
His stuff with Dillinger Escape Plan is epic

I really need to work on getting the Patton badge.

edit: not sure if the dont know/like patton option means " I dont know or like like Patton" or if it means "I cant decide, I just like Patton"

Definitely Mr. Bungle. I never really got into Faith No More and haven't heard any of his other stuff.

Faith and Bungle are my undisputed favorites, but Lovage... damn that was a good album... probably the most appropriate title ever for an album too. Peeping Tom's Mojo is always on my playlists, so are several Tomahawk songs. I think it really depends on my mood.

"Stroking is the antidote" I wrote that in an exam once.

Also didn't he do the soundtrack for Crank: High Voltage?
