I usually play either heavy or engineer, although the one class I just can't get the hang of is the demoman, I am absolutely dreadful with that grenade launcher, there must be some knack to it that I'm missing?!?

Medic. There is no class more useful for the team than a medic. Plus, if you manage to aim his needle gun onto an enemy, the needles fly so fast that you'll be able to deal a good amount of damage in that short time before you get blown to smithereens.

Pyro is my #1. A lot of people knock him as he's arguably the easiest class to play, and as a result attracts inexperienced players. However, the Pyro is an excellent Vanguard unit when played well, able to hold his own in a variety of situations, but she's also excellent in support roll. He is, in my opinion, the most versatile of the classes.

Depends on the situation.

I usually end up as a medic simply because my team never seems to have one. If I'm dealing with a lot of sentries, though, I'll chose the soldier. If we have to try and drive away the enemy (whether to stop them from gaining ground, or to start gaining ground), a pyro. If I'm trying to defend, I'll be and Engineer or Demoman. I don't really play as a scout that much, and my computer is too laggy for the sniper or spy.

I'd have to say the pyro is my favorite from a game-play perspective, and the heavy personality-wise (though the pyro is second).

Taking your health down one fully charged shot at a time...

And then booking it because someone probably figured out where I am.

As someone who is traditionally horrible at online multiplayer the pyro perfectly fits my spray and pray gaming strategy.

Love playing scout, both because my family is from Boston and because I always end up as MVP with that class for some reason. Also running around and jumping and never paying attention to fights is my playstyle in everything.

Would have to be medic or spy. TF2 is one of those rare game I find playing a supporting class actually mean something.

Most played is Heavy or Medic.

Something about being a large meatshield that has only one hard counter is satisfying to me. Also being a high priority target, as much as I hate dying, can be kinda fun.

Though the most fun I have, I usually have while playing a Scout. Though in experience, Scouts are largely worthless. Good Scouts on the other hand...

Scout just edges out pyro for me in gameplay terms
Though as a character, lets go practice medicine
My hatred of spies is second only to my hatred of teammates who don't spy check

Pyro because burning things whilst wearing rubber is fun. It's also the easiest class to imagine being a lady girl since we don't get a choice :( But one day. One day...

I play Heavy mainly. Nothing confusing about shredding anything in front of you with a minigun.

Especially a minigun that's strange as well as festive.

Pyro is my favorite, but far from my best. For my favorite class that I'm halfway decent at, it'd be Scout.

I like the whole concept behind the Pyro though. He's the guy who excels at creating chaos; at plopping right into a group of enemies, setting them all alight, and then fleeing as the victims either go into a panic or focus all of their attention on you. It's my kind of class - a master of trolling everyone but that fucking Sentry Gun. :p

I wouldn't say that he's the easiest to play - that honor definitely goes to Dakka McFatass. At least he can reliably kill things at mid-range, plus he has nearly double the health and is a Medic magnet.

I think having Pyro/Demoman in one thing is going to really skew the vote, to be honest.
Pretty much this. You probably should have grouped two other classes together.

OT: I picked the Pyro/Demoman hybrid (in case that wasn't already obvious), specifically for the Pyro, in fact I really quite dislike the Demoman.
The problem is that the Escapist allows 8 poll options and there are 9 classes. There's really no need to win this thing...

OT: I usually do best as soldier or medic. I sometimes play as spy, but I suck. It's still fun though.

I would have put spy/sniper together as they both fill a very similar role - key target assassination.
