Poll: Favourite MC?

So, what do you guys think...? I've provided a list of basically the most acclaimed (if not commercially successful) MCs to choose from.

I'd go with the Notorious B.I.G. as my favourite, with Eminem as a close second (for his pre-Encore work). Biggie's a wonderful pure lyricist ("I get more butt than ashtrays"; "Crime after crime, from drugs to extortion/I know my mother wished she got a fuckin' abortion";
"If I wanna squirt her, take her to Fatburger") and Eminem possesses similar lyrical energy, albeit a less laconic style.

I like Jay-Z, too - The Blueprint is an amazing album - and Rakim, though I find Ice Cube a tad ridiculous when he's encouraging mobbing or detailing pedophilia, and Nas has some questionable beat choices.

I doubt you'll get much support here; most of us don't like rap, and most of us here confuse rap and hip-hop all the time.

That said, on that list, I guess Tupic or Biggie.

Run DMC is hip-hop, not rap, so I can't say Jam Master Jay, right?

Of those listed, I guess I gotta go with Biggie. Say what you will about the man's ties to crime; inside the studio, he was a visionary.

I prefer Tupac. no...not because he's dead
