Poll: Favourite multiplayer mode

Aahhhh, multiplayer. It adds longevity to our games, and they're absolutely great with friends. What's your favorite mode?

Mine? Team Deathmatch. It's deathmatch with a little help.

Attack and defend for me it just gives deathmatch a little more well needed structure.

Mine would be Team Deathmatch, but if I can get a Mercenary TD then I'd rather that because it stops clans just assaulting everyone and ruining the fun (my experinces anyway >.>)

I'll go one step beyond and say my favorite game mode and map to play it on

Big Team CTF/Bomb on Bloodgulch (sp?) from Halo 2... so many good times.

I would say Capture the Flag but most of my friends are gung-ho retards whose idea of tactics doesn't extend beyond swapping to pistol when their assault rifle's run dry. So Team Deathmatch it is.

Capture the Flag. Base bombing sounds fun, but uh... do you mean like Halo's Neutral Assault gametype? Because that's my favorite.

I suppose Base Bombing is like the Payload mode in TF2? That's all I play these days. It's such a tense match - particularly because of way the maps are made - and the momentum can shift in a heartbeat. It makes for some brilliant experiences.

For me its all about... co-op.
I enjoy the less competitive way of playing online in which you and a friend make the best of each other. Nothing beats it to me.
I guess in a competitive sense I prefer a free-for-all deathmatch or survival type of deal.
I like the idea of big dudes with massive guns trying to capture a flag though. Its hilarious to think of why they would possibly want to do that as opposed to just killing the fuckers.

my personal favorite is a type of Co-op. wingman from Gears of War 2 has my vote because if you play with someone you understand and have played games with for a long time can be a WONDERFUL ally.

I like Headquarters in Call of Duty: W.A.W., so I choose territories.

Any round based game-mode where you don't respawn.

That gets rid of those pesky rushers... Unless your playing against me of course.

Despite what many people tend to say about it, I find Titan mode from 2142 to be about the only game style that I'm really enthusiastic about. Perhaps Assault Lines from the same game as well, though if the PAC team isn't working together well, it can feel a bit unbalanced. I liked Power Struggle from Crysis a lot, too. I dunno, maybe I'm just inclined to prefer game types that are a bit uncommon.
