Hey, I recently found about this little Firefox plugin via friend messing with my facebook. As my university has one HUGE wifi network this particular program could lead to a lot of general shenanigans and some things that could possibly hurt others.
Firesheep is, I believe (I'm not too good at the whole computer science thing), something that allows you to sidejack somebody's browser cookies and thus allow you to sign into a few of their choice websites (Facebook, Twitter, Amazon), as I witnessed somebody rack up a 1.2 million dollar bill on Amazon for shits (Though they couldn't buy it due to no credit card information), this seems like it could be quite harmful when used for the lulz. Twitter and Facebook status' will never be the same.
