Already bought Brink. On the P.C., and Xbox 360. The A.I. opponents become insanely powerful at high levels in single player mode. Also, your A.I. partners are morons. Otherwise, it is very good. On the console however....well, with a mouse and keyboard, you have both speed and precision. With a controller, you have one or the other. For the console, Brink decided to go with speed. The end result? On the Xbox 360, I often can't hit anything unless I am spraying fire with a fully automatic weapon with a huge ammo clip. The revolver isn't very good on Xbox 360, though it is awesome on the P.C.

I reccomend the P.C. It works well on Steam, which is awesome for me, as many games on Steam don't sync well with my video card, and I am often forced to reboot my comp multiple times before they work.

That said, I am definetly buying F.3.A.R. I love singleplayer First Person Shooters. Games that put a lot of effort into the singleplayer and storytelling interest me.

Already got Brink, and it's rather disappointing thanks to online lag issues. Somehow I can't put the server I want to play on in my favourites either. Damn shame, the gunplay is pretty fun.

I'm also, probably, going to get Duke Nukem. The ball is still out on Battlefield 3, not because I think it won't be awesome because I'm pretty sure, but because I'm not so sure whether my PC can handle it and I don't know whether I'll have the time because I'll, hopefully, be going to school by then. The Duke is the only certain FPS for now.

And Dead Island ain't no FPS, it'll have more of a melee focus. My hope is that it'll basically play like Condemned, but with zombies.

I'll get Bioshock Infinite! Wait, that's not on the list...

Well, I'll get Modern Warfare 3! Okay, so that's not on the list either...

I am going to get Battlefield 3 though, that'll be fun.

Eh... none of those.

Also Dead Island isn't an FPS it's a third person hack and slash RPG, but no I'm not getting that either...

To be honest I haven't bought any games in a while, for some reason none of them have really got me interested like usual. That's all going to change when Mass Effect 3, Skyrim and The Old Republic all come out though.
I am pretty sure it is in First Person. It is a First-Person-Brawler.

OT: Yeah, I am getting Dead Island. Been looking forward to it for quite some time.
"Dead Island's developers call it a "first-person zombie-slasher/action-RPG""

I guess I must have misread that somewhere. Still, I really don't think that it's an FPS.

lol it is amazing, but it's generally considered a First-person RPG and that's it. There are a number of gameplay mechanics that are unique to the FPS genre that this game doesn't have as well.
