well since i cant pick multiple options, ill just go with the one i want the most and havent already bought: Battlefield 3 OH YEAH

i already have Bulletstorm and Brink. i also bought some other FPS titles not on the list: Crysis 2, Homefront, Portal 2

and i (might) get FEAR 3 and/or Dead Island. definitely getting Duke Nukem Forever, though.

also, why is RAGE not on this list? :D

Battlefield 3 maybe.

But honestly, none of these are must-have's for me. I haven't seen any particularly enticing FPS games announced in a while aside from perhaps Bioshock Infinite (if it ends up as good as it looked in the posted videos).

If we count Skyrim: Skyrim. Skyrim, Skyrim, Skyrim, Skyrim, and Skyrim.

I'm going with Rage, that game reminds me of Borderlands, and it looks like a lot of fun.

I can get the Duke later, blasphemy I know, but id is awesome!

Serious Sam 3 is probably the only FPS I'll buy in the near future.

The only one on that list that has my interest piqued is Duke Nukem: Forever. Mainly because I played Duke 2 when it came out, Duke 3D when it came out, and it's been a running joke for most of my sentient life. I'll try the demo first though, because Duke 3D was decent, but it never held up to Doom, Quake or Blood in my mind. The fact that they switched to regenerating health (I don't care if they call it ego, it's fucking health) and what appears to be a two weapons at a time system makes me nervous. I loved carrying 10 obscenely powerful and at times utterly useless weapons, and having to be careful and ration my med kits.

As for Rage, after Quake 2, Quake 3, and Doom 3, which I had been waiting for since Doom 2, I'm not giving Id the benefit of the doubt. I love Doom and Quake to death, but they've burned me too many times. Burn me once, shame on Quake 2, burn me not twice but thrice, shame on me.

Dead Island is an FPS? I didnt know there were any details about that game yet.
A guess on my part. I am not a hardcore first person shooter gamer, so even if it plays in third person, it'd still be lumped into fps in my mindset. Perhaps I should have generalized the poll as shooter games. Although, if said zombie game has first/third person toggle god only knows how that would categorized.

BF3 and duke nukem forever.

BF3 because... well... It's battlefield.
Duke Nukem because... well... it's duke nukem and I want the over the top, not trying to make me care about people stuff that bulletstorm promised and lied to us about.

I'm not familiar with the release dates of these. So, out of the list, I voted Duke Nukem. I don't care about the rest. However, I'll probably get Duke Nukem after it's been out for a year or so, and has halved (or so) in price. In all likelihood, the next shooter I'm getting will be Deus Ex: Human Revolution. And, well, that barely counts as a shooter.

Thats a pretty awful list. Maybe next time post games and not try witty remarks.

Battlefield 3. I hope that and MW3 come out on the same day. Let the battle begin.

Why's Bulletstorm on that list, that's been out a while now...

Anyway, of all of those, actually probably Bulletstorm. Waiting for it to get cheaper though.
same here...is it still $60? I want to hold out until it's $20 but it may not get that low for a new copy.

Other than that I'm thinking Duke. I have nothing but bad feelings towards Battlefield and I absolutely hate the F.E.A.R series. I need to see more Dead Island game play before I can really say anything about it.

I really can't wait for Skyrim but since I never use bows/ crossbows/ thrown weapons I can really vote on that one.

Already got Brink. Fun fun.

Already pre-ordered Duke Nukem. Fun fun fun.

And I don't know about Battlefield 3...need to see some more game-play, particularly online co-op, before I make a decision. Besides, ARMA II is filling my military simulation needs right now, and with ARMA III just having been announced, I'm gonna wait a while before I put down another $50.

I'd hold out until Battlefield 3 and Dead Island. I'm hoping that Battlefield will just be BF2 with Bad Company 2's engine. Dead Island has me excited because the devs said that it would have RPG elements. And zombies. Zombies with bikinis.

Get Brink if you want a FPS with a focus on teamplay.

Duke seems like a pure fun game, much more so than Bulletstorm IMO.

A bit of a random list. If you consolidated the release dates and added a few more, then it might make sense.

OT: I am actually planning on getting Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
