I suggest the 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 route. Beside watching it in numerical will ruin the element of surpise when it's reveal that Darth Vader is Luke father unless she knows that already.
Go for 1,2,3,4,5,6.DaMullet said:So my friend has never actually sat down and watched Star Wars and now she wants to watch ALL OF THEM.
My question to you, it in which order should someone new see them?
Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
or
Episodes 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3
I shouldn't have to explain the pluses and minuses to star wars fans, I just can't decided which would be better!
Cheers!
Edit: PS She wants to watch all 6 movies for better or for worse!
It's the fact that the entire ending was way too happy on it's own terms, even ignoring the fact they the Empire still exists and a power vacuum has been created that will throw the galaxy into chaos for years. It's the fact that it looses the darker and more threatening tone that V had just started to build and wouldn't return again until III.CrazyJew said:Originals first. On a different note, why does everyone say ROTJ is worst of the original three? Is it JUST the Ewoks? They aren't really enough to condemn the movie.
Yeah, I'm gonna save myself time and use that 'win' phrase here, because I agree.SirBryghtside said:4, 5, 6. Tell her there aren't any others, it's better that way.
Yeah, this.Malconvoker said:4,5,6 then the prequals. Mostly because the whole 'Luke I am your father' thing should be kept intact. Unless she already knows that because of cultural osmosis, but watch it like that anyway.
