Poll: Flash Games: Know How To Make Them?

So, for the last two summers, I've taken flash game classes at a local community college for fun on a program called "Multimedia Fusion 2", and I'm still pretty bad.

So, does anybody here on the Escapist know how to make a 2-D Flash Game, If so, with that program?

No. If I did, I'd put one up in newgrounds that showcases the main female characters in Pokemon getting attacked by a tenticle monster. Basically coping this other game I saw and played but just changing the girl you rape. Yeah, perverted I know but I'm a 19-year-old male so what do you expect?

"sort of"
because I am currently working on game maker and learning the tools required.

I can make simple games in Flash like Pacman and Space Invaders if that counts.

You need to learn ActionScript 3, not 2 because they are not compatible with each other.

With AS3 and Flash CS3 or 4 you can make Flash games.

I have a little experience, without any guidance or anything I made an adaptation for the game "The Towers of Hanoi". KoTOR players will certainly recognise it since it featured in that game.

I bet it isn't exactly what you meant, but it did have a bit of logical code in it, I was about 15/16 years old with no prior experience to programming, so I'm rather proud of it. I made it with Macromedia Flash 6 or something. Check the link below to play it (note that it isn't finished. The reset button works, but there's no help, and no message saying you completed the game). Basically you need to get all the rings to the third tower. You have certain restrictions on the movement of the rings, which makes it slightly more difficult (but nitpickingly easy if you get the hang of it).

As unlikley as this may sound, two of my six periods in school this year are for a video game design class. First semister was about SwishMax, which is a flash program. Yes I do at an intermediate level, and am very lucky.

like i can use game maker quite well
and i can use powerpoint (simple i know, but still surprisingly powerful) well

i tried flash once and basically decided that i couldnt even slightly be assed sinec anything you can make on flash, can be made on gamemaker but easier

but i get the principles and if i could be bothered, im fairly sure i could

Yes. I've been an enthusiast of Flash for 3 years now but I was never very good at programming, since it's so arduous and boring. I'm much more adept in Movie making, since Actionscript is just. Well, uh. Hard...

Actually AS2 is compatible with CS3 and I feel is superior to AS3 in many aspects.

I never said it wasn't compatable with CS3 but anyways.
