So yesterday, a guy asked the internet to help him with his daughter's Flat Stanley project [http://www.facebook.com/events/324756220914146/] (if you don't know what the whole Flat Stanley deal is, the fat skinny is kids make this paper guy named Flat Stanley, after the book and character of the same name [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Stanley], mail him off, and get pictures and maybe even a letter of what he's done while away), and I decided 'why not?' and agreed to help him. I printed out his daughter's Flat Stanley and the next day (today) went off to Manhattan and went about Midtown, taking a bunch of pictures with Stanley all over the place (places include Nintendo World [which admittedly I lost my shit in because of all the Pokemon stuff they had. I bought myself a Cyndaquill!], FAO Schwartz, Rockefeller Center, and Central Park). I had a lot of fun, and had fond memories of when I sent off my own Flat Stanley back when I was in third grade.
Now Escapists, have you ever sent off a Flat Stanley and/or had one sent to you? Or is this something you haven't heard of before/never done? If you did send one/get one, where did it go? The one I sent out went to Bellrose, Queens, New York, and as I said above, the one I got went to Midtown Manhattan.
