Assuming there's no strings on either I'd take flying.
Yes teleportation is more practical but I bet it would require a lot of skill to not end up in a wall or something.
Also I say flying is 10X the badassness in the right hands.
And I think it would be much more fun, but again only if no strings are atttatched, if I have to be super concious every moment that I fly or it drains my phisical energy a whole bunch or anything that would actually make snese (to an extent)

Teleportation all the way. Yeah, yeah, "Oh, but you'll teleport into a wall/something else and get stuck, or you'll kill yourself and your clone will run around willy-nilly, flight FTW." Feel free to talk about your theories on how exactly teleportation works, but I'm going to work under the assumption that there are fail-safes, and no issues of personal identity involved, because that seems like the most likely kind of teleportation implied. I choose teleportation for all the above reasons, restated here:
-faster
-more versatile
-more capacity for mischief
-possible to simulate flying via rapid teleportation in midair
-arguably more impressive, provided you can bring other people with you(save the flight romance for magic carpets, thanks)

It kind of depends, honestly. I'd take being able to fly at 100 MPH (about 160 KPH) over only being able to teleport line-of-sight. I'd take slow, safe flight over teleportation that could put me inside a solid object and kill me instantly. But generally, with lighter restrictions (say, teleport to anywhere I'm reasonably familiar with vs. fly like a bird), I'd take teleportation.

Working out the equations for teleportation would be to much of a hassle for me(besides, who the hell want's to risk appearing in a wall, or space?) besides, I've always wanted to fly.

Great thread here.
I'd rather teleportation, as it'd be essentially the same as flying and overall more quicker.
You could teleport right up into the air and free-fall, so that would basically feel like flying.

Teleportation, for a few reasons:
-It's faster
-(Assuming it's everything I hope it to be) It's totally safe
-You'll probably get a fancy-looking visual effect to accompany an equally cool *vwoop* When you teleport

"That isn't flying! That's falling with style!"

Teleporting because, I've always wanted to beat someone up using teleportation. (teleport in front of them and punch them in the gut, teleport beside them and knee them in the face, that kind of thing.

Or deliver the most awesome falling-drop-kick of all time.

this is gonna sound corny but flight would be more spiritually fullfilling. anytime the worlds troubles get you down you could just go for a fly. It would be somthing you could do for the hell of it as well as travel. Teleporting would just be a way to get to a job you hate even faster.

the only way i'd want teleportation over flight is if it hurt...not wounding or anything just that everytime you teleported it would be like you got a low level shock all over your body. It would keep things amusing and it would be a great way to wake up. you have to go to work but you just can't seem to get fully awake, step into the teleporter and ZAP you appear on the other end cursing under your breath from the pain but now your fully alert. better than a cold shower.

Flying because you could use your flight power to propel just one leg or just one arm and attack with that, thus giving you super powered fighting. And for a finisher you could fly people up then fly straight down pile driver style.

Both definately have their perks, but I have to go with flying because on the physics of Portal by Valve they have not indicated teleporting has any affect on momentum/inertia of the object. I see teleporting as basically able to open both a orange and blue portal at the same time anywhere you want. As for the momentum problem, if you are in a car doing 60 Mph and you go over a cliff, if you teleport out of the car and onto the cliff you would still have the momentum of the 60 mph and youd get messed up hitting the ground and rolling on that speed possibly going over the cliff again depending where you teleported to.
But since this all conjecture on a hypothetical ability, I can freely admit to having no shame basing my opinion mainly on just a video game :)

Fly, I currently fly planes, so being able to fly without one would save me heaps of money... But teleport means i can sleep in and not have to spend money on fuel... Id go flying though still for the joys of having no boundarys

Can I teleport inside of people and make them explode? Can I break down others particles or only mine? In general, it's safer and more efficient, arguably faster as well. It could also have combat applications as well, if you can manipulate others that is. I don't see why you couldn't just break down a targeted object's particles, break it down, then choose not to reform it.
Also, defying the general laws of physics = Epic Win.
