So my girlfriend and I decided to move in together. Nothing new, lots of people do it. The problem is I hate folding clothes, and she's adamant that I not only fold clothes, but fold them the way she likes it done, which is department store style.

Now I could live out of a suitcase, wrinkled clothes don't bother me (that's why they invented the iron). Plus, I'm just not as good at it as she is. She makes these nice neat rows of clothes, and no matter what I do, or how I fold them, they look like a crumpled cheeseburger wrapper.

I figured I'd ask about clothes folding, and see how many of you actually love to fold clothes, hate it, or are somewhere in the middle.

Edit: I forgot to add, that I don't see it as necessary. It seems that folding clothes in such a specific way is just a waste of time, but she gets pissy if they are not folded like she wants.

Try and make a game out of it.

I like to pretend that the different sets of clothing represents a human being. It could be anyone. Politicians for example.

"Eat this, W. Bush!"

Then I crush his torso.

I fold clothes that I need to put in the dresser. I don't really see a reason not to, and it keeps them looking nice.

Same here - stuff that I don't hang up I fold and put away in drawers. Simple as :)

I fold em occasionally, not every time though. Most of the time I try and hang my clothes when I'm not being a total lazy ass.
