It would have been more likely a chair, but luckily they were metal benchs. All securely fastened to the floors.

Lessons would end and everyone would push through each other to get to the next lesson, taking the longest possible route whilst standing on anyone unfortunate enough to have fallen over.
Infact I dont think we were given trays either. I'm surprised the plates weren't paper and the knives [albeit so blunt you could happily stab yourself in the face and just leave a little red line] and the forks weren't plastic.
