Poll: FPS or TPS?

Which do you prefer and why?

EDIT: FPS=first person shooter TPS=third person shooter

Might want to clarify what they stand for.

And I don't prefer one over the other. They both offer different play styles for similar games.

I'd have to say FPS for immersion though.

I like TPS. There's something about seeing my own character that just gets me excited. It also helps to abuse the third person camera and peek around corners

FPS. It feels more tactical, and you have to have better aim.

I'm fine with both. I think for immersion, however, first person is better. But third person lets me see what COOL STUFF I'm wearing. I also like a game that does both, like Rainbow 6 Vegas. I think that's actually a very good approach. First person for the gunnery, but third person to let you see round corners so you can actually plan things a little better.
