in games i always search every square inch of a place, searching a bathroom is just a small detour and bathrooms usualy hold medkits and such so it's always helpfull to search them.

Gotta check your corners. If you've gone into the toilets in the first place, chances are you're clearing rooms to make sure no-one blocks your exit (or creeps up behind you with a weapon). Also- always boot the doors in, if there is anyone in there it gives you that crucial half second of shock time to shoot the bugger sitting down

rarely have problems checking the stalls, although one time i was playing Left4Dead and my 3 buddies were dead (we were round the middle of the 4th* map of Death Toll before you start the fork lift.) so i waited in a corner for them to re-spawn and they re-spawned in the men's room.
i get to the door open it and* BOOM! got punched in the face by a tank, which then turned around and* raped the rest of the team. never realized how dangerous restrooms could be til then.

edit: spell checked.

Pfft, everything can be cured with hugs.

Often find health in toilets, of course.

You also run faster with a knife, everyone knows that. ;)

I have a severe problem with exploring - I do it all the time and check everything twice.

Even bathrooms.
Even in horror games (where bathrooms are never, ever, EVER worth the time/probable shock/fight).

And I found some great things in Fallout 3's stalls, weaponry, inside jokes and whatnot.

On most games no, on fallout 3 yes...everybody knows that drinking toilet water is beneficial to your health
If not for that radiation problem...

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I too...drank from the toilet in Fallout 3.

Dead Space offers minimal gratification for stall raiding, though, while you're doing it, there's creepy music in the background... I don't think anything happens, however, if I recall.

I always check it out, but it's the oldest trick in the book to put a monster in one of the stalls to attack you.

-No puns intended-

This obviously stems from the opening level of goldeneye. Nothing more satisfying than shooting some poor ruskie in the head while he is on the bog. Nothing.

Always. Naturally it started in Duke Nukem 3D, then Doom3, Bioshock, Fallout 3....it will definitely continue.
