I was wondering, which kind of people you add as your friend or accept the friend request of someone?
Do you have to actually know them in person? Or do you add/accept someone because you made a good team or are at the same lever, maybe share the same games, I don´t know.
Personally the 90% of my friends in Xboxlive are my real friends or cousins, but I don't really mind if someone I don't know add me. There are some guys that add me because they compare gamerpoints.
In PS3 I dont have any friend cause I don't play a lot on the internet in that console, because I play single player campaign mostly.
So what's your opinion in this topic

If I know them irl or for online, I'll generally add them. Hell, I'm about to go play some Halo with some guys I know from a site, and we'll have a great time!

They are either real friends, people I've met online previously, or people who I have played multiple games with through mutual friends.

if i meet people in an online game and ther fun to play with sure i'll add them it seems that thats an opinion more xbox users than ps3 users would share as i have like 6 friends in real life that have ps3 and only add people they know in real life but all my friends that own xboxs have friends they don't know

Most of my online friends are people I know irl, but I have a few that I randomly got paired with and the seemed really cool so I added them.

I don't auto-invite or accept friend requests from anyone that I know though, I have 1 rule: No Douche Bags.

I accept friend requests from people who I acctually talked to during the game and were pretty nice to chat with, and weren't assholes. A little friendly banter is fine, but flaming needlessly and they are not friend. I only send requests to people I know though.

I add everyone I know in real life that I know plays games I play.

I add particularly fun people to play with that I play with often enough to be able to recognize, and they recognize me.

I accept usually if someone adds me.

My friends list is tiny though, because that's how little I play.

I generally don't add people I've never met in person to my friends lists. I did on here and this one chick my former friend was dating for a while added me on Facebook but I honestly expected to meet her eventually, things happened and I never did though. My general rule is that if I've never met you in person then I won't add you though.

Yeah I generally add/accept people who are fun to play with.
I actually have a few online friends I've been gaming with for years.

I tend to add people who are somewhat 'old' as a 'gamer'. Mostly because their 8 year old teabaggers who shoundn't be playing it in the first place.

GRAMMAR RAPE MAKES ME CRY

In any case, a combination of the first and second options. I'll add however many RL friends I can, and if I find a good friend online, I'll add them as well. This happened more often in Starcraft than anywhere else, and I rarely find a good friend online nowadays. If you pursue a person for any duration after you finish your round, you tend to come off as a stalker :p
