Poll: Fries first, or last?

So as I was eating dinner today, I began to wonder...say you make Chicken and have fries as a said dish...do you eat the chicken first? or the fries? or switch between? I always end up eating the fries first.

The first thing I start eating is the fries, but they're also usually what I end with, too, because I end up switching between. The fries are just so much easier to start with because of the smaller convenient size compared to a sandwich or chicken strip.

If you have a sandwich, you should put the fries in the bun.

If you don't have a sandwich, you should push fries onto the fork with every bite. Because fried potato goes with everything.

I literally LOVE you for setting this up. I tried to bring this up with my flatmates earlier but I was shouted down. I switch between, but I will always end with at least one third of the chicken. Because that's the money part, that's the best bit. And that's what I want to go away with.

I can't believe some people don't find this interesting.

Well, then the issue is nonexistent.

Chicken first, actually anytime you have a meal you eat the main course first if there are any sides. In most places sides are there to fill you up with empty calories leaving you with less nutrients than if you ate the main course.

Did you know a potato is healthier for you than an apple? Obviously there's going to be some excess fat with fries, but they don't lose any of their nutrients in the frying process. You are right though, the side dishes are there to fill you up... but not to leave you with less nutrients. Why would any food establishment want you walking away having eaten a less healthy meal?
