Your immediate problem is that you've got a vry limited area. Unless you're "FIRING YOURE LAZER!" every five minutes, you're gonna be running low on humour very quickly.

The thing to remember is that Frankie Boyle, Russel Howard and a lot of the other comedians slip game based humour in there from time to time now that it's gained acceptance.

Back in TMWRNJ, Richard Herring did a throwaway line of saying, in a high pitched voice, "They're destroying our city!" (Kudos to anyone who knows where it came from).

One thing to definitely watch is "Toughest Gig" where comedians try and do a set against an unfamiliar audience.

Dara O Briain's turn against a group of LARPers should show you how difficult something that "simple" is.

Also it shows LARPers in a nice light, so we likes that :)

Perhaps actually telling an example joke here would help.

"They say that kids are bieng turned into murderers by hyper-violent computer games like Grand Theft Auto and such, i have but one counter argument to this and it is to look at me for 5 seconds; the living embodiment of weakness.
My arms are noodle thin - Madonna actually beat me art arm-wrestling,
I'm so pale that Micheal Jackson once asked me for skin samples.
And if you are seriously telling me that playing [prototype] - a game in which you devour random civilians to regain health, has twisted me psycologically to become the next Hannibal Lecter, then please take note:
I have become so physically weak, and incapable of murder, through extended 4 hour raids on World of Warcraft, that i now require both hands to click my PEZ dispenser..."

That kind of thing uses gaming as a topic but does not require in-jokes to an actual game, that should go down fine, surley?

Comment on this and i'll use a more game centered joke and see what you think.
