JRPG, it has been a long time since a truly great game in this genre.

Space sim. Absolutely space sim. This doesn't just need a new big game, it just needs ANY game: the genre is totally dead, which is a crying shame as there are so many fantastic games in it.

Stealth. But that's just because I'm hoping that they'll announce Hitman 5 soon. And I hope they don't lump on an unnecessary online multiplayer - singleplayer only, please.

JRPGs have the next big thing and it's going unoticed. It's called Resonance of Fate and it's wonderful.

As for what really needs the next big thing, Metal Gear is pretty much over. Stealth needs a new a head.
