Do you got to them, and I want to know why games have to launch on Tuesdays. I know they do it because Tuesday is the slowest business day of the week and it helps boost stock prices, and I'm sure there are other business reasons, but why Tuesday? People have work and school in a few hours after a midnight launch. They would make so more launch money if they changed it to a Friday or Saturday.

I live in the part of Ohio that got Modern Warfare 2 early because some local stores jumped the gun and Gamestops followed suit. We got the game on a Saturday, which makes sense, because, you know, it's a Saturday. Everyone's home. No one has school or work the next day. I could have Halo: Reach tomorrow if history repeats itself, which is likely.

This could all be avoided if they changed the day games were launched on. What day of the week would you want to have games launch on?

I think there should be an "indifferent" option on the poll. That option would apply to me because I go to college and I don't have a car up here. If I want a game I can't go to midnight releases for one, I have to order the games via Amazon or something like that.

I go to college. Class Monday through Thursday. Getting my hands on a new toy on Friday gives me enough of the weekend for that initial obsessive playthrough that I can get homework done on Sunday night.

Patrician 4 comes out Tuesday on Steam. I have a paper due on Wednesday. RAGE. I won't get to play it until 24 hours after I set Steam to download it!

Definitely Friday. That way I have the whole weekend to play them.

I guess this poll doesn't really have anything to do with me, since I never buy any game new, except for the 2 games that I have ever pre-ordered in my life, and both were a hassle to finally get.

But I guess for the sake of keeping this on topic, Fridays.

This semester I have class on Tuesdays from 8am to 8pm. ... ... Ya I know. So I can't play the game til I get home. I'm going to the Reach midnight launch, but classes are going to suck. But I'll have something to look forward to.

How so? pre-orders are held for a few days if you don't pick it up right away,If they did it on weekends (when like you said anyone to everyone could have the day-off) then the lines could get twice as long becuase you'd have everyone who came out to get the new game at launch(and maybe nothing else) along with everyone else from a normal weekend of trade-ins, buying other things and pre-ordering. While a weekday would be the best time since it's a normally a dead day for game stores since you most likely would only be going there that day for something that just came out without having to worry about massive crowds/lines.

Wednesday.
Middle of the week, so it doesnt get in the way of my social life (cause everyone is at uni/school/tafe/work at that time) and because Thursday is my day off to play the game.

Thursday. It's the day that me and my friends all have a day off to play at the same time. Also I like to go out on weekends, so yeah I like to have it before.

Everything is pre-ordered online. Everything is delivered. Early.

That is the way things are, if something goes wrong, people die.

There's a logic to this. Tuesday is DVDs and CD's, Friday is Films, Wednesday should be games.

Thursday, As one of the previous posters said, Friday is gonna make it more hassle than you'd think, at least with Thursday, if you buy it then you only have to wait a few hours through Friday to play your delicious new game ;P
