I've come into possession of a $50 GameStop gift card, and right now my two prevailing options are Final Fantasy 13 or Metro 2033. I've enjoyed FF 10 and 12, but I'm not sure if I'll enjoy 13. As for Metro 2033, I've enjoyed games with minimal HUD's, and since I heard about it this seemed right up my alley. Has anyone played either or both and wouldn't mind recommending one to me?

I'm open to other games for the 360 that you think are awesome and I would enjoy, too. I have and love Fallout 3, Mass Effect 1&2, KOTOR 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1&2, Dragon Age: Origins, Fable 2, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and Saint's Row. Yeah, I'm kind of an FPS/RPG nut.

I voted for Metro 2033 just because it's so atmospheric and the world is so well made, but if you're getting it on PC, be prepared for a few bugs. Also the story is incredibly engrossing and the voice acting is wonderfully done.

I would recommend against FF13, but I may be a bit jaded because I've never enjoyed a Final Fantasy game.

I say wait a month or so and get Fallout: New Vegas as you clearly love RPG's.
Amen, brother.

OT: Rather than using that 50 dollars for 1 game, why not get a bunch? but if oyu really want those two games, I say get Metro 2033.

Some reviews weren't too happy with it, but I figured I'd ask people who aren't getting paid for their opinion.

Try Kane and Lynch 2 if you're into gritty, violent, story-based action-shooters.
You played it? I tried a demo and it felt a little off to me, but I can't remember if it was a demo for the first or second one.

I'd like to, but I'm really tight on cash, and would prefer to get something soon.

Suggestions on which ones to get? I sure wouldn't mind getting more than one.

Do you only have Saints Row, or do you have Saints Row 2? Because if you don't have 2 yet...

I don't think we can be friends.

I completely forgot about Saints Row 2. A friend at work mentioned it was amazing, I just haven't had money for a while to buy games. I'll definitely keep that one in mind.

Hence why you should wait for it.

It just sounds like you're spending money because you can.
Well it's not cash, it's a gift card, and I'm not sure if my budget will let me spend cash on games anytime soon.

But now that I'm seeing what all's in the New Vegas collector's edition, I am getting tempted to wait and see if I can scrounge up extra cash. I hate to sound miserly, but for a while I'm gonna have to quite literally watch every penny I spend if I feel like eating even a decent amount of food.

I haven't actually played the full game, only the demo - but from what I've read about it the demo sums it up pretty well. The two games are very similar, the second just seems a little grittier. I like the censored-style camera, the combat feel pretty solid, and if it's anything like the first game the story will be pretty good. You might as well try the demo to get a feel for it. But if you don't like it then there's always something else.

The ideal would be to wait until Deus Ex 3 comes out. Because it clearly is your style (mine too) at its maximum strength (at least I hope).

Hmm, i vastly prefered FFXIII to Metro 2033 but both are great games in my opinion, despite what people think.

Some people think FFXIII is good, some don't and so with a game like that you just gotta decide for yourself, thats what i did and i loved it. If you liked FFX then perhaps you'll like it.

If you like JRPGs, get Tales of Vesparia, Lost Odyssey, or Blue dragon. Both are fairly cheap and preety good.

If those kinda games aren't your thing, get the Condemned Series, The Orange Box, Banjo and Kazzoie: Nuts and Bolts, the Gears of War series, Burnout, and Prince of Persia ( The 2008 one).

Around 4-5 of them should be $50 bucks. And if you have a DS...never mind your mind will be blown.
