Infamous: I played it alot for a long time, but when i made it to the final area of the city, the first sons just got annoying. They took a million blows and the giant orange robots were boring because they gave you unlimited energy for them. Yet they gave you the karmatic ovrload thingy [gives you a burst of unlimited energy.] And because sucking in energy regenerates health all the real challenge was lost.

I tend to leave a lot of RPGs unfinished. I have no idea why, I guess I just don't want them to end. Or maybe I don't feel like grinding for the end(I'm looking at you, Pokemon games).

Witcher 2.

I'm stopped in the middle (near end) of Act 2.

I honestly don't know what's happening nor do I care.

Every Final Fantasy game I've played, bar Final Fantasy XII which, in my opinion, had the mosty enjoyablre battle system. I got lost in the final dungeon in II, and couldn't get past Evrae in Final Fantasy X. Final Fantasy III didn't excite me enough, and I did NOT enjoy Final Fantasy X-2 enough to complete it. University got in the way of playing XIII after I reached Pulse. I decided to stop just before disc 4 in Final Fantasy VIII 'cause I didn't fancy battle after battle after battle at the time. I've baely started I, III, IV, VI, or VII so they are at least on the list of games to finish!

I've not yet finished Zelda: Wind Waker, either... I played it when I was 12/13, and loved it so much I didn't want it to end! Consequently, I just stopped playing, and never got back into it.

However, I'm currently working on finishing Wind Waker, as well as finishing Final Fantasy IX and X. :)

FF13, saying that I didn't even enjoy it.
L.A. Noire, didn't finish that.

GTA 4. Never completed 1 story even though I enjoy the game.

GTA:4: it was pretty fun, but it was just so long and I was getting sick of those damn motorcycle chase missions.

Final Fantasy 2: its gameplay was as fun as any of the early Final Fantasies but I just couldn't be bothered finishing it, probably because I didn't like the characters and got lost a few times.

Banjo Kazooie: I got stuck on the last boss and ended up giving my N64 to my grandparents so my younger cousins could use it. I regret never finishing it because it was my first game and I'm pretty sure I could dominate it now that I'm not 10 years old.

Prototype: I really enjoyed the gameplay. Storyline? Not so much. I have a savegame that is right before the final mission. Have just never played it since I made that save.

Darksiders: LOVE that game. Yeah, the gameplay isn't all that original, but it's still very good. The visuals are awesome, and the storyline is pretty cool too. It even has puzzles! Last time I played was just after meeting the Angel of Death chained up. Do you have to break three chains or something similar? If so, I think I broke the first one but haven't played since.

Half-Life 2: I got to what seems to be Ravenholme (have seen people on these forums describing Ravenholme, and it seems to mesh with the scary ass Church/Graveyard full of really fast enemies).
Although, considering that there are Episodes 1 and 2, and apparently Episode 3 has yet to appear, if the original storyline continues in those, it could be argued that nobody else has completed HL2 either.

As to why I haven't completed any of these, I have no idea. It's not that I haven't been playing any games, just not those particular ones. Perhaps I am saving them until I have no other good games to play, and none on the horizon either.

Oblivion. Kinda my bad in a way. I'm just a gigantic completionist and so every little side quest caught my eye.

Lost Odyssey was a fun game if you go for the jrpg sort of thing....but daaaaaammmmnnnnn those cut scenes were so friggin long! I couldn't take any more "My life is miserable because I can never grow old and die". Don't worry, main character who's name I can't even remember....the game got old and died for you.

most of my console games. Main would be "Sphinx and the Curse of the Mummy". I got right near the end, before going to the final boss, one museum animal to get, which was from the store... I never looked back at it.

most sandbox games, there just isn't enough variety in them for me since i don't like minigames and everything else usually comes down to go there and maybe kill something, if not here is a cutscene

I've had Metroid Prime 2 for 6 years and I'm still on the final boss. I'll beat it at some point, but not right now.

Also, Diablo II is my favourite game but I've never beaten it on single player. Countless times on Battlenet, but I'm afraid Brill the Barbarian is still lost in the jungles of Kurast for the time being.

GTA 4, I'm roughly a quarter through it, but I have never finished it, though I do enjoy it. I just don't have enough time to play it anymore, it's such a massive game :p

There's a few, some of them I leave for ages unfinished and eventually finish, others I have still yet to finish, I'm notorious and always being made fun off or told off by my gamer friends for not finishing games (Well, one friend in particular is worse than the others).

The games that come in mind though that I have played and loved when I was a child but are unfinished, are Final Fantasy 8 and Zelda Ocarina of Time. FF8 I got up to the part in the future where your at Ultimecia's castle and I couldn't beat one out of the final group of bosses so I guess I just stopped, I've seen the ending though (ironically I bought that game on the playstation network recently and have been playing a LOT of that game. I've restarted the game many many times in the past and I am confident that I can beat that game now since I have a complete understanding of the junction and battle system. The other reason was I had to beat an optional boss at the castle to get one of my commands back and I sort of procrastinated and gave up playing for other games (I was young and had trouble finding that boss for some reason).

In Ocarina of Time, I kept restarting and playing the game up to the shadow temple and... I don't know...... I guess I got bored at that point and stopped playing, the thing about Ocarina is that it is not the type of game (well at least to me) that you can pick up from where you left off after a long time and know what puzzles you've solved and which ones you haven't. I rented the game when I was a child and somebody's saved file called JAZZ was left on the cartridge, this player was up to the final battle with Ganondorf, so after trial and error (and possibly a strategy guide), I figured out how to beat him and beat the game like that with a massive portion missed which I am yet to see.

P.S. For a long time Metal Gear Solid was one of those games but about two years ago I finally finished my childhood game. Another one I haven't finished is the first Playstation game I ever played the first time I got my PS for Christmas.... Medieval. There are a lot more games but I've already rambled enough... Thanks for making me ramble, normally I don't post too much.

I'm debating whether to finish LA Noire of give up. Thing is, I'm on Arson now so I know I'm quite far...I'm just so bored of it! I want to stop playing but the ending is insight herpa derp.

Final Fantasy 7 because it was looking for something on the third disk which i didn't have from the second disc.

Fallout: New Vegas because, well, it just felt like doing 3 all over again.

GTA 4 because it was monotonous and bland.

Halo 2 (don't look at me like that) mainly because I was runnning a hacked copy that would work on XP (again with the looking, what can I say? I'm a purebred PC gamer and I didn't have or want a copy of vista), got to a point half way through and it just glitched the hell out and stubbornly refused to go any further.

Rome: Total War and Medieval2: Total War due the fact that finishing one of those campaigns takes forever, and frankly I lost interest after a few days of not really getting anywhere....

Warcraft 2: Don't ask why, I really don't remember.

StarLancer: A great regret of mine because I loved that game to bits. Got to the last level and fluffed it. Went back a few years later to do it, couldn't get past the big fuck off Ion Cannon mission, fml.

C&C:Generals: Never finsished the Chinese campaign, again, I have no idea why, I got to the last mission and did most of it, went to bed or something and never went back to it.

C&C1, C&C:Red Alert 1: I think they were cases of getting to a level which was just too hard for my 9-year old self and me subsequently giving up after repeated failures.

C&C: Red Alert 3 : Great game, painfully cheesy and kitschy so played as long as I could bear to. Not very long I'll be honest, not helped by the other new case on my shelf containing what I'd been told was a new IP version of KOTOR(which I loved) and now know to be one of the best games I've ever played (i.e. Mass Effect 1).

Space Siege. God was that game a disappointing waste of time (I was expecting something really good considering what GPG had done with Dungeon Siege 2 and that they were mining that rich vein of environments and atmosphere that System Shock 2 had opened up. Instead I got handed... That thing). I just lost the will to play, mainly to prevent myself losing the will to live.

Genesis Rising: Very quickly turned into an excercise in arse-rape and gave up.

Homeworld: One of my great regrets. Got to Bridge of Sighs and inspite of long since working out how to beat the bloody thing, at the time really couldn't and consequently continually got my head handed to me until I got bored and wandered off to play Cataclysm again.

March: Offworld Recon: I found it in a bin, it rapidly found it's way into another one.

Arguably, Dawn of War Dark Crusade (only ever finished five of the campaigns, got halfway through the other two before I lost interest). A similar argument could be made about Age of Wonders.

Wow, that was a lot of games... Christ...

I use to be this way with all of my games.

I actually went back and finished a bunch of games in quick succession about a year or 2 ago, because I was sick to fucking death of having so many unfinished games hanging about.

I now try to not start a new game that I want to spend a lot of time on unless I've finished the last big game. (ie. When I was playing DA2, no other biggish games were started, no I'm getting through mass effect, then I'll move on to Alan Wake. [footnote]Yes I realise I'm a little behind but study comes first[/footnote])

I haven't ever finished a main story final fantasy game.
I haven't finished BG2 still dispite it being one of my favourite games of all time (One of the games from when I rarely finished games which I didn't get around to in my completion fest).
I haven't finished any Bethesda games.
I haven't finished Bioshock because I recovered my gamertag at my brother's place and lost about5 hours worth of achievements (and possibly progress, I've not checked) that I'd gotten offline at home. I realise that progress in game is stored on the hard drive but Army of Two: The 40th Day took away all of my progress through the guns and such, but I was upto the same level, was weird. I just don't have the heart to see how much damage was done. I think I'll leave it until I've got nothing to play and start from scratch.

While I do stop playing games that did got too hard but sometime i simply lost interest with the game as a whole.

Metroid 1 and 2 (I didn't get all of the extra ammo, health etc when I was near the final boss.)
Tales of Symphonia (I lost interest with the characters.)
Skies of Arcadia (I dislike the limited save points.)
Fire Emblem: Radient Dawn (Lost interest with the characters.)
Sonic Color (I had lost interest in it quickly and it was hard.)
Advance Wars 2 (I can never get pass the final level.)
