Nobody seriously believes that Turbine is the most popular developer on this site, and now that the Turbine fanboys/fangirls have gone back to playing LOTRO rather than vote-stuffing March Mayhem, we can have a proper popularity contest.

Poll's above, choices were added via a mental survey of developers whose names show up most frequently in threads. Feel free to vote "Other" and defend your choice for write-in candidate below.

Er.. I'm still here..

My favourite is Other- Ubisoft. Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia.. I'd like to work as a writer for Ubisoft Montreal maybe someday.

Go Canada!

I thank you for having the balls to say this.

I voted Valve. Half Life, HL2, TF2, Portal, L4D, the list goes on...

Rockstar Games for me. They have yet to disappoint. Then probably BioWare at a close second.

Valve, for the purity and polish of the gameplay, and their paced, unrestrictive methods of storytelling.

Bioware, for the epic stories, the diverse characters, and the intuitive gameplay.

Bethesda, for the scope and scale of the game worlds and some creative level design.

Creative Assembey, for the grand scope of the battles, the deep strategy, and the attention to historical authenticity.

Out of those four, I'd have to say Bioware takes the cake, with Valve a close second.

Valve and Bioware are probably going to receive the most votes (besides Other, of course).

Blizzard has my vote. Even after completely ruining WoW for me, I still can't ignore how much I like them. They've been one of my favs since Rock 'N Roll Racing and the WarCraft and especially Diablo games just sort of put them at the tops of my lists.

I could swear there was a thread just like this yesterday...

Anyway, Blizzard gets my vote for making that one awesome game known as Warcraft III.

I'm saying valve, I've played 6 of their games and not one has been bad or even mediocre. Too bad they take so long to make stuff but when they do, damn it's good.

My vote goes to BLizzard.
Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo and WoW.
How can I not?

I also quite like Square/Enix, Bethesda Game Studios and Valve.
Fallout, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls and Portal are amongst my favorite games.

I love Bioware, I can think of only two users here that are biger fans than myself. Next comes VALVe and Bethesda, but Bioware, they made Baldur's gate and Mass Effect , two of the best games I have ever played. Obsidian is alright,as well.

Also its not very nice to pick at turbine that way, their fans are clearly very loyal, you wont see that kind of responce from Treyarch's fanbase. I'm sure some stayed, dispite how we acted.

EDIT: Everybody seems to like VALVe and Bioware, in that order.

So many choices. I loved the two KOTORs, Jade Empire and Mass Effect so Bioware rocks my world. And yet Blizzard represents pretty all of my PC gaming experience in my pre-Xbox days with Diablo 2. Although to be fair, I also played a little Homeworld 2. And then there's also Bungie with the Halo trilogy. And then there's Bethesda who can practically claim my soul for the amount of time I've played on Oblivion alone, let alone Morrowing as well.

Arg, what to choose?!

In ye olden days I would have said id Software, but those times are long gone... Fortunately nowadays we have Valve, a company that made Team Fortress 2 AND Counter-Strike AND Half-Life AND Portal AND Left 4 Dead! Seriously, those guys are amazing. So yeah, they'd get (and indeed got) my vote.

If you had asked me this question several years ago, I would of said Free Radical pureley because of timesplitters. But alas, because of recent events (Haze), they are no longer with us, may they rest in peace....

Anyway, at the moment, I would say valve. Everyhting they make is pure gold.
