Poll: Gaming vs. Gaming Research?

Do you spend more time actually playing games or researching games and watching surrounding gaming media. I think I spend more time on the internet looking up things on gaming rather than actually playing them, it's actually weird to think about. I'm including everything gaming-related that's not directly tied to playing the actual games.

I'd like to say both? I can spend a lot of time looking up random things on a wiki, but that's usually only for games I really like (and therefore play a lot).

I have this habit of going "Well. Let's see what TvTropes says about this one." then spend the better part of the night on TvTropes instead of gaming.
